Hot Toys’ Avengers: Doomsday Victor von Doom Figure Gets First Look From Sideshow

Avengers: Doomsday Victor Von Doom Figure

Sideshow is giving Marvel collectors a closer look at Hot Toys’ Victor von Doom 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure inspired by Avengers: Doomsday, with a new first-look video showing off the villain’s detailed costume, mystic effects and extensive display options. The limited-edition figure takes a different approach to Doom than the heavily armored version Hot Toys has already revealed. Victor von Doom wears a tailored dark green ensemble consisting of a tunic, pants, long boots and belt, along with a dark green hooded cloak covered in a hexagonal pattern. The cloak incorporates bendable wire for posing and is secured by a magnetic silver-colored clasp and metal chain.

Hot Toys has also created a new helmeted head with its separate rolling-eyeball system, allowing collectors to adjust Doom’s gaze. The accessory lineup leans heavily into the character’s mystical powers, with multiple interchangeable gesturing hands, translucent green flame effects and a pair of hands surrounded by translucent green-and-black krackle effects. A specially designed figure display stand completes the set.

Victor von Doom becomes the latest addition to what has grown into a substantial Avengers: Doomsday lineup from Hot Toys. CollectiblesNews.com previously covered the company’s Avengers: Doomsday Doctor Doom figure with multiple editions, which gave collectors an armored take on the character along with a separately sold throne and several display configurations.

Hot Toys soon expanded the collection beyond Doom with a Professor X figure based on Patrick Stewart’s likeness. That sixth-scale release includes Professor X’s wheelchair and a Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters sign, along with a newly developed headsculpt.

The X-Men side of the lineup continued with Gambit, whose Avengers: Doomsday figure includes UV-reactive eyes and purple kinetic-energy effects. Hot Toys equipped the figure with two bō staffs and a collection of translucent effects built around Gambit’s powers.

That was followed by Cyclops, who received interchangeable optic-blast effects and multiple display options, further expanding the movie’s X-Men roster in sixth-scale form.

Hot Toys also gave Thor a particularly effects-heavy release. As CollectiblesNews.com previously reported, the Avengers: Doomsday Thor figure includes light-up Mjolnir and Stormbreaker weapons, while the Deluxe Version adds an illuminated battle-damaged Sentinel head diorama.

Ian McKellen’s Magneto joined the collection next, with Hot Toys revealing an Avengers: Doomsday Magneto figure based on McKellen’s portrayal. The figure was offered in multiple versions and features a newly developed helmeted headsculpt.

More recently, Hot Toys brought Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers into the growing lineup. The Avengers: Doomsday Steve Rogers figure includes a light-up cracked Mjolnir along with wedding-ring details on his interchangeable hands, while the Special Edition adds a life-size metal ring as a separate collectible.

With Victor von Doom now joining Doctor Doom, Steve Rogers, Thor, Gambit, Magneto, Cyclops and Professor X, Hot Toys’ Avengers: Doomsday collection has developed into a sizable sixth-scale lineup well before the movie reaches theaters.

Sideshow currently has a waitlist open for the limited-edition Victor von Doom 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure.
