Hot Toys Reveals New Avengers: Doomsday Doctor Doom Figure With Multiple Editions
Sideshow is giving Marvel collectors a closer look at Hot Toys’ new Doctor Doom 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure inspired by Avengers: Doomsday. The prototype, which was recently revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, is now featured in a new Sideshow First Look video showing the figure, its accessories and the different editions that are available for pre-order.
The Doctor Doom figure is being offered as a Collector Edition, Special Edition, Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Bonus Edition. Hot Toys is also offering Doctor Doom’s throne as a separate pre-order, giving collectors the option to build out a larger display around the character.
The 1/6 scale figure includes a newly developed masked head with separately rolling eyeballs, allowing collectors to adjust Doom’s gaze. His armored costume combines silver-colored armor pieces with a dark green undersuit and a tunic featuring a square-grid texture. The dark green hooded cloak includes bendable wire for posing, along with magnetically detachable clasps and a metal chain.
Doctor Doom also comes with several interchangeable hands, including a translucent green pair designed with black crackle-style mystic power effects. Other accessories include a magical book inspired by concept art, translucent green flame effects that can attach to the figure’s hands and a specially designed display stand.
The different editions of the Doctor Doom figure, along with the separate throne accessory, are available to pre-order now through Sideshow.
The Doctor Doom reveal is part of a broader Avengers: Doomsday collectibles lineup from Hot Toys. Sideshow is also taking pre-orders for 1/6 scale figures of Cyclops, Gambit and Magneto, giving collectors a first wave of characters tied to the upcoming Marvel film.
The Cyclops figure includes a variety of attachable optic effects, while the Gambit figure features a newly crafted head sculpt with UV luminous reflective eyes designed to recreate his kinetic glow. Gambit also comes with two bō staffs and a selection of translucent purple kinetic-energy effects. Magneto is represented with a 1/6 scale figure based on Sir Ian McKellen’s portrayal of the character.
With Doctor Doom receiving multiple editions, a separate throne accessory and an extensive selection of display options, Hot Toys is positioning the character as one of the centerpiece collectibles in its Avengers: Doomsday lineup.
