Hot Toys Reveals Avengers: Doomsday Professor X Figure With Patrick Stewart Likeness

Professor X is joining Hot Toys’ growing Avengers: Doomsday collectible lineup with a new 1/6 scale figure based on Sir Patrick Stewart’s return as Charles Xavier.

Inspired by Professor X’s appearance in the upcoming Marvel film, the figure features a newly developed headsculpt designed to capture Stewart’s likeness, including detailed wrinkles, skin texture and a movie-accurate facial expression. The headsculpt also includes separately rolling eyeballs, allowing collectors to adjust Xavier’s gaze for different poses.

The Professor X figure stands approximately 9.65 inches tall when displayed with his wheelchair and features a body with 30 points of articulation. Hot Toys has also incorporated a magnetic attachment system designed to secure the figure to the wheelchair. Six interchangeable hands are included, giving collectors options for posing Xavier as he uses his telepathic abilities or operates the chair.

Professor X is dressed in a dark navy ribbed inner shirt and matching tactical jacket featuring the X-Men logo. The outfit is completed by navy pants, black shoes and a black belt with an X-Men logo on the buckle.

The wheelchair is a major part of the release and includes an articulated joystick and rotatable wheels. Additional accessories include a Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters sign and a wooden floor-themed graphic card based on a scene shown in the official Avengers: Doomsday trailer. The Professor X 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure is available to pre-order now through Sideshow.

The reveal also expands an increasingly large group of Avengers: Doomsday collectibles from Hot Toys. Magneto, based on Sir Ian McKellen’s portrayal of the character, is also currently available for pre-order. Doctor Doom is another major part of the collection, with both a 1/6 scale figure and an elaborate throne accessory available separately.

Hot Toys and Sideshow are also preparing additional Avengers: Doomsday releases. Beast was recently revealed at Sideshow’s San Diego Comic-Con booth and is listed as coming soon, while collectors also received a first look at an upcoming Sentinel collectible figure during the convention.

With Professor X now joining Magneto, Cyclops, Gambit and Doctor Doom, Hot Toys is continuing to build out a sizable Avengers: Doomsday collection ahead of the movie’s release, with Beast and Sentinel still to come.
