Mattel Unveils Celine Dion Barbie Inspired by ‘My Heart Will Go On’ Titanic Performance

Mattel is turning one of Celine Dion’s most recognizable performances into a Barbie Signature collectible, unveiling a new Celine Dion Barbie doll inspired by the night she performed “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic. The $60 doll recreates Dion’s awards-show appearance in a long-sleeved, floor-length ocean-blue dress, complete with a replica of Titanic’s fictional “Heart of the Ocean” necklace. Mattel describes the release as a tribute to Dion, the chart-topping song and the blockbuster film in a single collectible.
One of the standout details is the necklace, modeled after La Coeur de la Mer, the fictional blue diamond at the center of Titanic. Mattel has made the piece a focal point of the doll’s look, pairing it with the dark blue turtleneck maxi dress worn for the performance.
The doll also uses a new custom face sculpt created in Dion’s likeness. Mattel says the sculpt features a soft, closed-mouth smile, while the hairstyling and makeup were designed to mirror her appearance from the original awards-show performance.
The Barbie Signature release uses the Model Muse body type and carries Mattel’s Black Label designation. The doll was designed by Suim Noh, with packaging by Laydiana Chiv, and comes with a certificate of authenticity and display stand.
Dion is the latest music and entertainment figure to join Mattel’s expanding Barbie Signature lineup. Earlier this year, Mattel released a Whitney Houston Barbie Signature doll, adding another major music icon to the collector series.
The company has also continued using Barbie Signature to recreate famous entertainment figures and distinctive fashion moments. In September, Barbie marked Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday with a new Signature doll, while another recent release saw Barbie team with designer Yoon Ahn for a futuristic, robot-inspired collector doll.
The Celine Dion release fits into that broader strategy but stands out because Mattel has built the doll around a specific performance and a recognizable movie connection rather than a general stage look. The Heart of the Ocean necklace makes the Titanic association immediately visible, while the blue gown ties the figure directly to Dion’s performance of the film’s signature song.
The doll is now listed for pre-order through Mattel Creations while supplies last.
