CardVault by Tom Brady to Open 19th Store in Downtown Indianapolis
CardVault by Tom Brady is continuing its rapid expansion with a new store in downtown Indianapolis, giving the sports card and memorabilia retailer its 19th location nationwide. The new CardVault will officially open Sunday, September 27 at 10 AM ET at 2 N Meridian St., putting it within walking distance of both Lucas Oil Stadium and Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The location places CardVault in the middle of one of the country’s busiest sports districts, with the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever all playing nearby.
“Indianapolis has an incredible sports culture and a passionate fan base, making it a natural market for CardVault,” said Ed Kane, Co-Founder of CardVault by Tom Brady. “Opening our doors on a Colts game day is a great way to introduce CardVault to the city. We’re excited to create a destination where longtime collectors and new fans alike can buy, trade, discover and connect around the hobby, and we’re looking forward to becoming part of the Indianapolis sports community.”
Inside, collectors will find single cards, sealed boxes, packs and other collectibles from brands including Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Pokémon and Fanatics Authentic. Customers will be able to buy, sell and trade cards, while the store will also accept submissions for professional grading through PSA, Beckett and SGC. Like other CardVault locations, the Indianapolis store will include the company’s signature vault featuring a rotating selection of authenticated and autographed memorabilia such as helmets, jerseys, bats and balls.
CardVault is also planning several promotions for opening day. The first 25 customers in line will receive a limited-edition Indianapolis-themed CardVault by Tom Brady hat. Fans waiting before the store opens can enter for a chance to win one of two pairs of tickets to Sunday’s Colts game, with the winners scheduled to be announced in the store at 11 a.m. Visitors throughout the day can also enter a drawing for a Jonathan Taylor signed mini helmet.
The Indianapolis opening continues a particularly busy stretch for the company. In August, CollectiblesNews.com reported that CardVault was preparing to open its 17th store in Palo Alto, California. That location followed the same general formula, combining cards and sealed products with grading services, memorabilia and collector-focused events such as trade nights and special product releases.
Just over a month later, CardVault opened its 18th location at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. The Indianapolis announcement means the chain has now added three more locations in a relatively short period, moving from No. 17 in Palo Alto to No. 19 in Indianapolis.
The expansion has also been backed by a growing group of high-profile investors. As CollectiblesNews.com reported in August, CardVault added a strategic investor group that includes JAY-Z, Aaron Judge, Connor McDavid, Dana White, John Henry and Todd Graves, along with several other business and investment figures. CardVault said at the time that the additional investment would help fund new store openings, expand distribution, add employees and improve its technology, supply chain and operations.
The company has also said its long-term goal is to build a network of more than 100 stores in major sports and entertainment markets. Tom Brady acquired a 50% ownership stake in CardVault in February 2025, when the business had only three locations. The Indianapolis store becoming No. 19 shows how quickly that plan has accelerated.
After opening day, the Indianapolis CardVault will operate daily from 10 AM to 8 PM. The company says the location will also host trade nights, guest appearances, exclusive product launches and other events designed to turn the store into a gathering place for the local collecting community.
