CardVault by Tom Brady is continuing its rapid national expansion with a new store at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, giving the collectibles retailer its 18th location nationwide and third in California. The new store officially opens September 16 and will carry a mix of single cards, sealed boxes, packs and authenticated memorabilia from brands including Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Pokémon and Fanatics Authentic.

Collectors will also be able to buy, sell, trade and submit cards for grading. CardVault says the Century City location is an authorized dealer for PSA, Beckett and SGC and will offer on-site grading submission services. At the center of the store will be CardVault’s signature memorabilia vault, featuring authenticated and autographed helmets, jerseys, bats, balls and other pieces. The location is also expected to host trade nights, product releases, live events and other collector-focused experiences.

The Los Angeles opening comes just over a month after CardVault announced its 17th location in Palo Alto. As CollectiblesNews.com reported on August 10, the Palo Alto store opened at Town & Country Village as CardVault continued building out its Northern California footprint. That location joined the company’s San Francisco flagship and helped push the chain to 17 stores nationwide.

Only three days later, CardVault made another major announcement, this time involving the ownership side of the business. CollectiblesNews.com reported on August 13 that the company had added a high-profile strategic investor group that includes JAY-Z, Aaron Judge, Connor McDavid, Dana White, John Henry, Todd Graves and several major business and investment figures.

CardVault said that investment would help fund new store openings, additional distribution channels, new hires and improvements to its technology, supply chain and operations. The company also said at the time that it has a long-term goal of building a network of more than 100 stores.

The Century City opening now gives a clearer picture of how quickly that expansion is moving. The grand opening is scheduled for September 16 at 10 AM. The first 25 customers in line will receive a limited-edition Los Angeles-themed CardVault by Tom Brady hat, while visitors will also have a chance to win either a Shohei Ohtani Geometric Refractor graded PSA 10 or a Justin Herbert signed mini helmet. The new shop is located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd., Level 2, Space 2455, inside Westfield Century City.

CardVault’s push into Los Angeles also puts the company in one of the country’s largest sports and entertainment markets, something co-founder Chris Costa described as a strategic move because of the city’s strong sports culture and collector base.

Tom Brady acquired a 50% ownership stake in CardVault in February 2025. Since then, the company has expanded from three stores to 18 locations while also growing its live-streaming business, CardVault Breaks, and bringing in outside investors to help accelerate the next stage of expansion.

With Palo Alto becoming location No. 17 in August and Century City now becoming No. 18, CardVault’s national rollout is showing no signs of slowing down.
