Dave & Buster’s Becomes ‘Doom & Buster’s’ With Avengers: Doomsday Collectible Power Cards and Prizes

Doom & Busters

Dave & Buster’s is handing its name over to Doctor Doom for a massive Avengers: Doomsday promotion that will bring collectible Power Cards, Marvel prizes, an Avengers Funko game and other limited-time items to locations across the country. Beginning November 16, Dave & Buster’s will temporarily transform into “Doom & Buster’s” as part of a nationwide takeover tied to Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. The campaign runs through January 31, 2027, although new Marvel-themed games and in-store experiences have already begun rolling out ahead of the full launch.

One of the biggest additions will be a lineup of limited-time Collectible Power Cards featuring Marvel characters including Thor, Doctor Doom and Yelena. The cards will be available at Dave & Buster’s kiosks while supplies last, giving the company’s reloadable arcade cards a collectible makeover specifically for the movie promotion.

The takeover will also introduce new themed prizes throughout the arcade. Dave & Buster’s specifically calls out a Smash N Win game built around a collection of 20 character-themed balls, challenging players to collect the entire set before they disappear. The Human Crane will feature new inflatables among its prizes, while the Mystery Crane will use pillow boxes that hide surprise items.

Marvel Funko collectors will have another reason to visit. Dave & Buster’s says participating locations will feature an Avengers-themed Funko pusher stocked exclusively with Avengers Funko prizes. The promotion will also include an Avengers-themed photo booth where guests can take home a physical photo keepsake from their visit. Those collectibles will sit inside what Dave & Buster’s is calling the Doomsday Zone, a Marvel-themed section opening November 16. The areas will use themed entry arches, signs, game screens and Marvel games to create a dedicated Avengers: Doomsday environment inside participating locations.

Several new or themed games are part of the rollout. MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is a four-player action game that lets players choose two Marvel heroes and switch between their abilities during battles, while Avengers: Roller Race & Battle combines a four-player race with a villain encounter. Other attractions include Thor’s Hammer Strike and a Marvel-themed version of The Arena.

Dave & Buster’s is also introducing DOOMHOUR during the promotion. Beginning November 16, one randomly selected hour will give D&B Rewards members double tickets on qualifying green-swipe games. Rewards members will receive a notification 24 hours before the next DOOMHOUR, followed by another alert revealing the exact hour on the day of the event.

The promotion extends to the food and drink side with three limited-time cocktails and two alcohol-free mocktails. Doomsday’s Dominion, Multiversal Mule and Fantastic Flight make up the cocktail lineup, while Panther’s Potion and Captain Punch provide non-alcoholic options. The drinks will be available from November 16 through January 31.

“When one of the biggest movies of the year is coming, you don’t put up a poster. You bend the knee,” said Jeremy Tucker, Chief Marketing Officer at Dave & Buster’s. “We gave Doom our name. We gave him the floor. We gave him the bar. Doom & Buster’s is a world fans can only walk into with us, and it’s built for the thing we do better than anyone: bringing people together to play, compete and be part of the action. All shall play. We’re just making it official.”

“We’re always looking for brands who are willing to think bigger, and Dave & Buster’s did exactly that. Rather than creating a traditional promotion, they transformed their entire business into an immersive celebration of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday, in theaters December 18. The result is a bold, fan-first experience that extends the story beyond the theater and into the real world in a way only Dave & Buster’s could,” said Lylle Breier, EVP, Partnerships, Promotions and Events, The Walt Disney Studios.

The Doom & Buster’s announcement arrives the same day as another major Avengers: Doomsday promotion. As CollectiblesNews.com reported earlier, KFC is launching five limited-edition Colonel Sanders figures inspired by Avengers: Doomsday characters, along with Doctor Doom-themed packaging and a special menu in more than 100 countries. Unlike the Dave & Buster’s promotion, however, KFC says its collaboration will not be available in the United States.

Doom & Buster’s officially runs from November 16, 2026 through January 31, 2027. Dave & Buster’s says games, attractions and prizes will vary by location.
