Pokémon Kyogre, Groudon and Giratina Promo Cards Coming to Retailers With $15 TCG Purchases

Pokémon TCG collectors will have three new promotional cards to chase when Mega Evolution: Delta Reign launches November 6, with Kyogre, Groudon and Giratina being distributed through participating retailers. Beginning on the expansion’s release day, customers who spend $15 or more on Pokémon TCG products at participating stores can receive one of the three promo cards as a gift with purchase while supplies last.
Which card collectors receive depends on the retailer. In the United States, the Kyogre promo will be available through Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, Five Below and Macy’s. Collectors looking for Groudon will need to shop at GameStop in the United States. The same Groudon promo will also be distributed through EB Games locations in Canada and Australia. Giratina will be available from Best Buy in the United States, while Australian collectors can find the card through Toymate and Mr Toys.
That means U.S. collectors trying to obtain the complete trio will need qualifying purchases across at least three different retailer groups, with Kyogre having the widest distribution of the three. All three cards carry the Pokémon 30 “What’s Your Favorite?” logo, giving them a distinct appearance tied to Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebration.
The promotion is available both in stores and online at participating retailers. Pokémon notes that the cards are only available while supplies last, so availability could vary by retailer and location once the promotion begins. The giveaways coincide with the November 6 release of Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution: Delta Reign, adding another collectible element to launch day beyond the cards available through the expansion itself.
Retail-specific Pokémon promo cards have become a regular part of major TCG releases, giving collectors an additional group of cards that cannot simply be pulled from standard booster packs. With Kyogre, Groudon and Giratina split among different chains, completing this particular set will require a little more planning.
The promotion begins November 6. Customers must spend at least $15 on eligible Pokémon TCG products to receive a promo card, and all offers remain subject to availability while supplies last.
