Naruto Card Game Sets June 2027 Worldwide Launch With Starter Decks, Booster Packs and 1 Million Demo Decks

Bandai is preparing a major new trading card game for Naruto fans, with NARUTO CARD GAME set to launch simultaneously worldwide in June 2027. The release was announced at New York Comic Con following the game’s world debut at Gen Con 2026. Bandai revealed a launch lineup built around three pre-constructed Starter Decks led by Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara, along with the game’s first Booster Pack, titled “Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!”

Each Starter Deck will include all of the cards needed to begin playing, with the three decks built around different Leaders, ninja lineups and strategies. The first Booster Pack will expand on those decks with additional ninjas, techniques and other cards while featuring characters from both NARUTO and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN.

Bandai also showed newly revealed card illustrations during its New York Comic Con presentation, with additional artwork scheduled to be unveiled ahead of the June launch. The NYCC presentation opened with a new teaser featuring original artwork from Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the NARUTO anime.

Collectors will not have to wait until June to start seeing physical cards. Premier Demo Events are scheduled to begin at participating trading card game stores in February 2027. The rollout will start at select large-scale stores participating in BANDAI TCG+ before expanding to additional locations in a second wave. Those events will also introduce two products that Bandai says will be available only through the Premier Demo Events and select BANDAI CARD GAMES FEST 26-27 events: the Official Playmat – NARUTO VS. SASUKE – and Premium Card Collection Vol.00 – CHAKRA Set. Participating events will include BANDAI CARD GAMES FEST Orlando and BANDAI CARD GAMES FEST London.

Bandai has not yet announced participating stores, exact event dates, product availability or purchase procedures for those items. Those details are expected later through the official NARUTO CARD GAME website and social channels.

Another major part of the pre-launch campaign will put cards directly into the hands of fans around the world. Beginning in spring 2027, Bandai plans to distribute a total of 1 million Demo Decks globally. The decks are intended to introduce players to the basic flow and strategy of the game before the full launch.

The card game itself will span multiple generations of the Naruto franchise. Bandai says NARUTO CARD GAME is set in the worlds of NARUTO and BORUTO and will feature characters from NARUTO, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN and BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS.

That gives the launch considerable room for both playable and collectible cards across a character roster built over decades of manga and anime. The franchise began with Masashi Kishimoto’s NARUTO manga in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1999, followed by its television anime adaptation in 2002. Bandai says worldwide circulation of the manga has surpassed 250 million copies.

The next major NARUTO CARD GAME update is scheduled for Jump Festa 2027 in December, when additional information about the game is expected.
