Karl-Anthony Towns Buys Aaron Judge 1-of-1 Dual Gold Logoman for $900,000
Karl-Anthony Towns has added another major card to his collection, spending $900,000 on Aaron Judge’s one-of-one 2026 Topps Chrome Back-to-Back MVP Dual Gold Logoman Patch Autograph. Topps revealed Monday that the New York Knicks star was the buyer of the Judge card, which sold August 28 in Fanatics Collect’s Premier Auction. Fanatics Collect later called it a “MASSIVE pickup” for Towns.
The card attracted 37 bids before finishing at $900,000 with buyer’s premium. What Towns actually purchased is still an unused, unscratched redemption, since the finished card has not yet been produced. The redemption has been authenticated by CGC. When completed, the one-of-one will feature Judge’s autograph alongside two game-used Gold MLB Logoman patches representing his back-to-back American League MVP seasons.
The Gold Logoman patches have become some of the most sought-after pieces of modern baseball memorabilia. Judge wore the special gold MLB logo after winning the 2024 AL MVP award, then continued wearing it following another MVP season in 2025.
Towns’ purchase completes the next chapter of a card that CollectiblesNews.com has been following since it first surfaced. CollectiblesNews.com reported that the Aaron Judge redemption was pulled by a father of two in California who bought a single hobby box of 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball to open with his children on release day. The family found the redemption just three packs into the box. It was then delivered to the Fanatics Collect booth at the National Sports Collectors Convention, where plans were announced to send it directly into the August Premier Auction.
A month later, that hobby-box pull has turned into a $900,000 sale to one of the most recognizable athlete collectors in the hobby. Towns is no stranger to high-end cards. He has publicly participated in breaking and collecting, and last year pulled a one-of-one autographed Yoshinobu Yamamoto card that later sold through Fanatics Collect for $72,000.
The Judge card sits on another level. The 2026 Topps Chrome redemption combines two Gold Logoman patches, an autograph and a one-of-one production run, all centered on Judge’s consecutive MVP seasons. Fanatics Collect’s description notes that Judge became the unanimous AL MVP in 2024 before winning again in 2025, giving Topps the opportunity to create the dual-patch card.
At $900,000, the sale was also one of the biggest results from Fanatics Collect’s August Premier Auction, trailing the $1.14 million paid for a one-of-one Shohei Ohtani Topps Dynasty Gold Logoman Patch Autograph.
