Pudgy Penguins and OpenSea Bringing Collector Park Festival to New York City
Pudgy Penguins and OpenSea are bringing trading cards, designer toys, digital collectibles, fashion and gaming together for a one-day festival in New York City built around modern collector culture. Collector Park will take over Seward Park on Manhattan’s Lower East Side on September 3 from noon to 8 PM. The event is designed as a place where collectors can discover new products, trade with one another, compete in games and connect across collecting categories that increasingly overlap.
Rather than focusing on one hobby, Collector Park is being built around the idea that today’s collectors often move between several of them. Someone hunting trading cards may also collect sneakers or designer toys, while fans of digital collectibles may also be buying physical memorabilia and limited-edition merchandise.
The festival will feature vendor booths, giveaways, live art, interactive games, live streaming, food and dedicated community areas. Participating brands and creators will also be able to stage product launches, limited merchandise releases, live trading-card pack breaks, trading lounges, creator meetups and collectible drops. That mix makes the event particularly interesting for collectors looking for event-exclusive or limited items. The organizers have not yet announced every product drop or participating brand, with additional companies, creators, merchandise and special activations expected to be revealed ahead of the event.
Pudgy Penguins is a natural fit for the concept because the brand already crosses several collecting categories. What began as a digital collectible project has expanded into physical toys, figures, games and other merchandise, creating a fan base that extends well beyond digital collectibles.
That expansion into traditional collectibles has continued in recent weeks. On August 27, CollectiblesNews.com reported that Pudgy Penguins and Schleich were turning Pax Pengu and Polly into limited-edition collectible figures. The collaboration marked another step in bringing Pudgy Penguins characters into the physical toy and figure market.
OpenSea brings the digital side of Collector Park, helping connect digital ownership with the broader collecting world surrounding trading cards, toys, fashion and memorabilia. The organizers describe the event as a reflection of how collector culture has changed, with communities that once operated separately increasingly sharing the same collectors, creators and marketplaces.
Collector Park takes place September 3, 2026, from noon to 8 PM at Seward Park on New York City’s Lower East Side.
