Pokémon Reveals Lugia and Ho-Oh Cards From Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration

Pokemon Lugia Ho-Oh Cards

The Pokémon Company is continuing to reveal cards from the upcoming Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration expansion, this time giving collectors a first look at new Lugia and Ho-Oh cards ahead of the set’s September release.

The two Legendary Pokémon are the latest cards spotlighted from the 30th anniversary set, which is scheduled to arrive on September 16, 2026. Pokémon unveiled the pair on August 19 as part of its ongoing previews of cards collectors will be able to find in the anniversary release.

Ho-Oh’s new card features two attacks. Fire Wing deals 100 damage, while Sacred Breath can heal all damage from one of the player’s Benched Pokémon, giving the card both offensive and recovery options. The Ho-Oh card features art by Anesaki Dynamic.

Lugia joins Ho-Oh in the latest reveal, bringing two of the Pokémon franchise’s best-known Legendary Pokémon into 30th Celebration. The pair has a particularly strong connection for longtime Pokémon fans, having originally been introduced during the second generation of Pokémon games. Lugia can deliver an Elemental Blast attack, which does a hefty 250 damage. The Lugia card fearures art by Kazuki Minami.

The latest reveal follows Pokémon’s recent previews of other cards from the anniversary expansion, including the large group of Pikachu cards being created specifically for 30th Celebration. The set is designed to mark 30 years of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, with Pokémon gradually showing collectors more of what will be included as the September 16 release approaches.

The addition of Lugia and Ho-Oh gives the set two more recognizable Pokémon to chase while expanding the lineup beyond the Pikachu cards that have received much of the early attention. Pokémon is expected to continue revealing cards from Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration leading up to its worldwide launch on September 16.
