U.S. Mint Sets Sale Date for Gettysburg Address Quarter Rolls and Bags

The United States Mint will begin selling rolls and bags of the 2026 Gettysburg Address quarter on November 13, giving collectors a chance to purchase the fifth and final quarter in this year’s Semiquincentennial series directly from the Mint.
Orders will open at noon Eastern Time, with three product options available: a 100-coin bag of Philadelphia-minted quarters for $63, a 100-coin bag of Denver-minted quarters for $63 and a two-roll set containing 80 total quarters from the Philadelphia and Denver Mints for $56. Due to expected demand, the Mint is limiting customers to two units of each product option.
The Gettysburg Address quarter officially entered circulation on October 19 and closes out the Mint’s 2026 Semiquincentennial Quarter program. The obverse features President Abraham Lincoln, with the Mint describing the portrait as showing the burden of war on Lincoln’s face while his forward-looking gaze represents determination to move the country ahead as one indivisible nation. Inscriptions include “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and the dual anniversary date “1776 ~ 2026.”
The reverse centers on a passage from Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, with the inscription “A NEW NATION CONCEIVED IN LIBERTY.” Two hands grasping each other symbolize Lincoln’s effort to preserve the Union and his appeal to Americans to honor those who died by ensuring that government “of the people, by the people, for the people” would endure. Additional inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “25¢” and “GETTYSBURG ADDRESS.”
The November 13 release offers a direct way to acquire circulation-quality examples from both Philadelphia and Denver in Mint packaging. The Philadelphia 100-coin bag carries product code 26SQBJ, while the Denver bag is 26SQBK. The two-roll Philadelphia-and-Denver set is product code 26SQRJ.
The Gettysburg Address design is the last of the five special quarters issued during 2026 as part of the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration, making the rolls and bags the final individual quarter products in that year-long circulating series.
The United States Mint is allowing collectors to set up “Remind Me” notifications ahead of the sale. Orders for the Gettysburg Address quarter rolls and bags begin November 13 at noon EST through the United States Mint.
