tarte x Roller Rabbit Limited-Edition Bundles Sell Out in 60 Seconds

tarte x Roller Rabbit

A limited-edition collaboration between tarte cosmetics and Roller Rabbit turned into one of the fastest sellouts in tarte history, with both bundles from the October 1 launch disappearing in just 60 seconds. According to tarte, the collaboration had been three years in the making and was built around a custom print combining some of tarte’s best-known beauty products with Roller Rabbit’s colorful pajama and accessory aesthetic. The companies positioned the release as a limited-edition drop designed around sleepover nostalgia, matching products and a shared “girls’ night in” theme, with the collection sold through both brands’ websites and in stores nationwide.

The tarte side of the collection included five individually sold products: the tarte x Roller Rabbit maracuja juicy lip vinyl for $27, tartelette tubing mascara for $28, freckle stamp for $26, makeup bag for $38 and eye mask for $28. Each was packaged in the collaboration’s custom print, giving the release a coordinated appearance intended to work as both beauty merchandise and a limited-edition displayable collection.

The two bundles were the products that disappeared almost immediately. The tarte x Roller Rabbit best-sellers set was priced at $38 with a stated $93 value, while the tarte x Roller Rabbit #1 mascara set was priced at $28 with a stated $56 value. tarte said both were intentionally designed to be giftable, collectible and easy to share, particularly for mothers and daughters buying matching products.

Demand had already begun building well before launch day. More than 30,000 people joined the collaboration’s waitlist within the first 24 hours after early-access signups opened, while tarte said site traffic increased 250% as interest grew. When the bundles officially went live on October 1, they were gone within a minute, making tarte x Roller Rabbit the fastest-selling collaboration in the cosmetics company’s history.

The company also said the release brought in a large number of first-time tarte customers. Fifty-five percent of shoppers who purchased from the collaboration were new to the brand, the highest new-customer rate tarte says it has recorded for any collaboration. The customer mix also reflected the multigenerational theme behind the project, with tarte reporting that Gen X and millennials represented 87% of collaboration shoppers, while Gen Z and Gen Alpha accounted for 11%.

tarte and Roller Rabbit had spent the weeks before launch building the drop through teasers, social media previews, creator seeding and in-store events. The companies also gave six fans the chance to win the full collection, including the pajamas and beauty products, the day before the launch. tarte said press and Instagram coverage of the collaboration has since generated more than 9.5 million impressions.
