NHL and Fanatics Launch Hometown Remix Jerseys for All 32 Teams

The NHL and Fanatics have unveiled Hometown Remix, a new league-wide uniform, apparel and headwear program giving all 32 teams alternate looks inspired by their cities, local culture and fan bases. The collection marks the first full 32-team special-edition uniform program designed and developed by Fanatics since the company became the NHL’s on-ice uniform provider and authentic outfitter in 2024. Fanatics says the project has been in development for two years, with every Hometown Remix jersey designed from scratch rather than simply modifying an existing alternate.
Each NHL club will wear its Hometown Remix uniform multiple times during the 2026-27 season. The program began November 2 with the Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks becoming the first teams to take the ice in their new designs. Fanatics says Hometown Remix uniforms will appear in 261 games this season, including 19 matchups in which both teams will wear their new alternate looks.
For hockey jersey collectors, the program creates an entirely new 32-team lineup to pursue. Both Authentic Pro versions matching the on-ice uniform construction and Premium versions are available to fans, with the jerseys joined by a broader collection of hats, hoodies, T-shirts, fleece, outerwear and other men’s and women’s apparel.
Rather than using one common design template across the league, Fanatics and the NHL built each jersey around elements associated with the team’s home market. The Chicago Blackhawks version uses a vivid green base with the current Blackhawks logo and gold shoulder patches, while each sleeve carries four debossed six-pointed stars inspired by Chicago’s city flag. The Florida Panthers took a different approach, drawing inspiration from graphic beach T-shirts and remixing the team’s throwback shoulder-patch logo into the primary crest. San Jose’s design pays tribute to the giant Sharks Head that players skate through before home games, placing an “SJ” mark at the center of the jersey.
Canadian teams also incorporate locally inspired details. The Toronto Maple Leafs jersey reworks the original Maple Leafs logo with etched leaf-vein detailing in the crest, while the Winnipeg Jets uniform features an aurora borealis scene along the hem and a blue-to-light-green gradient across the sleeves designed to evoke the northern night sky.
“Few symbols in sports carry the history, pride, and emotional connection of an NHL sweater,” said Brian Jennings, NHL Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Partnerships and Club Strategy Officer. “Hometown Remix builds on that legacy in a fresh and authentic way, celebrating the fans, culture and communities that make each NHL market unique. Together with Fanatics and our Clubs, we’ve created designs that are rooted in local identity and tell a story about the cities and fans they represent. We’re incredibly excited to bring the program to life and see that passion reflected both on the ice and in the stands.”
“Hometown Remix represents the most exciting initiative our team has designed and delivered with our partners since we hit the ice with the NHL in 2024,” said Dom Fillion, Vice President of Creative Design for Fanatics. “What makes this program so special is the collaboration with each club and together leaning into the history, culture, fabric and identity of every city and fan base to make sure these felt as authentic and personal as possible. We can’t wait to see them worn by the teams on the ice and the fans in the stands all season long.”
The NHL and Fanatics are supporting the launch with a campaign titled “The Fabric of Your Town, Unlocked,” featuring the new jerseys being ceremonially revealed in different settings. Entertainer and influencer Fanum also makes an appearance in the campaign. While Fanatics has previously created special-edition NHL uniforms for events including the 4 Nations Face-Off, Winter Classic, Stadium Series and Heritage Classic, Hometown Remix is the company’s first attempt at creating one coordinated special-edition program spanning every NHL franchise.
The Hometown Remix collection is available now through NHL Shop, Fanatics, individual team stores and the NHL Shop flagship store in New York City.
