Michael Jordan 2008 Upper Deck Exquisite Patch Autograph Card Sells for $1.42 Million at Alt

A Michael Jordan card from one of Upper Deck’s most celebrated high-end basketball products has crossed the seven-figure mark, selling for $1,418,845 at Alt. The card comes from the 2008 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection and combines two of the features that have helped define some of the most valuable modern basketball cards: a patch and a Michael Jordan autograph. Alt announced the result following the close of its auction, calling it a “record sale.”
“We just sold this 2008 Michael Jordan Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Patch Autograph for $1,418,845 in our auction,” Alt said in announcing the result on X.
Upper Deck’s Exquisite Collection has become particularly important among high-end basketball collectors because of its concentration of autographs, memorabilia cards and extremely limited releases featuring the biggest names in the sport. Jordan cards from the brand are especially closely watched whenever one of the scarcer examples reaches public auction.
The $1,418,845 result also came during an Alt auction that featured another major 2008 Exquisite patch autograph, this one featuring LeBron James. The James card, a one-of-one, sold for $700,800. Before the auction ended, the two cards had already attracted attention as rarely seen examples from the same era of Upper Deck’s premium basketball releases.
