$24,000 ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ Book Covered in 16,000 Swarovski Crystals Heads to Fifth Avenue

One of the most extravagant Christmas collectibles of the season is headed to New York City, with a $24,000 edition of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas covered in more than 16,000 Swarovski crystals. TWAS has unveiled its Crystal Luxe Edition of the holiday classic, transforming the familiar story into a large-format collectible work of art. The book is expected to be displayed alongside the Christmas tree at the Swarovski flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City.
The $24,000 edition is decorated with thousands of hand-applied Swarovski crystals across its exterior. Inside, the luxury treatment continues with hand-applied 18K gold-gilded pages and gold and silver foils incorporated throughout the artwork. Each Crystal Luxe Edition is also signed and numbered by the artist.
TWAS is making the books to order, with the company describing each finished example as a one-of-a-kind creation. A handcrafted presentation box is included, turning the book into a complete display piece rather than simply an elaborate edition intended for the bookshelf.
“Christmas is about creating memories and traditions that last for generations,” TWAS co-founder Keir Walton said. “With the Crystal Luxe Edition, we’ve reimagined a beloved classic as an extraordinary work of art to be treasured for a lifetime.”
The combination of traditional bookmaking, precious-metal detailing and Swarovski crystal work places the release somewhere between a luxury book, holiday decoration and limited collectible. TWAS has not announced a fixed production quantity for the Crystal Luxe Edition in its release. Instead, the books are being made to order and individually signed and numbered.
Its appearance at Swarovski’s Fifth Avenue flagship will also give the book a high-profile holiday showcase in New York, where it will be displayed alongside the store’s Christmas tree presentation. The Crystal Luxe Edition is part of TWAS’ broader collection of luxury holiday books, which the company says are designed as heirloom-quality interpretations of Christmas traditions.
