2026 Hess Toy Truck Debuts First-Ever Garbage Hauler and Snow Plow Set
Hess Toy Truck is going in a new direction for its 2026 holiday release, introducing two vehicle designs that have never appeared before in the long-running collectible toy line. The 2026 Hess Hauler Truck and Snow Plow is available now exclusively through HessToyTruck.com for $49.99, with free standard shipping and Energizer batteries included.
The centerpiece is a Hauler Truck styled as a garbage truck, a design Hess says has been one of the most frequently requested by fans. Finished in the traditional Hess green and white color scheme with reflective chrome-colored accents, the truck packs in 72 LED lights, seven animated flashing light patterns and six realistic sound effects. That gives the 2026 model more sound effects than any previous holiday Hess Toy Truck, according to the company.
The garbage-hauling theme extends beyond the exterior design. A rear trash hatch releases at the push of a button with its own compacting sound effect, while an internal ramp deploys with a separate sound to allow the included Snow Plow to drive in and out of the larger truck.
The Snow Plow is another first for the Hess lineup. Rather than a traditional road plow, Hess designed it as an ATV-style quad with a manually adjustable blade. It features a pull-back motor and 12 steady-on lights that are activated by turning the rider’s helmet. Together, the two vehicles feature 84 lights.
The Snow Plow is sized to load directly into the rear of the Hauler Truck, giving the set a 2-in-1 design. Both vehicles are packaged in a custom-illustrated keepsake box featuring a holiday winter scene. Hess is also continuing the educational component attached to its annual toy release. The company is again working with Baylor College of Medicine on a free STEM curriculum guide that uses the 2026 Hauler Truck and Snow Plow as a learning tool.
A second Hess collectible remains available for younger fans as well. The My Plush Hess Truck: 2026 Monster Truck is the seventh release in the company’s plush series and features squeeze-activated lights and sing-along songs. It is priced at $39.99 with free standard shipping and batteries included.
The annual Hess Toy Truck tradition dates back to 1964 and has developed a dedicated collector following across generations. The 2026 release adds two vehicle types collectors have not previously seen in the holiday series, including the long-requested garbage truck concept.
The 2026 Hess Hauler Truck and Snow Plow is available now exclusively at HessToyTruck.com for $49.99 while supplies last.
