Petco Love Launches Plush Mystery Charm Collection With Six Pets and Two Rare Mystery Designs
Petco Love is turning the blind-box collectible trend into a fundraiser for shelter animals with a new line of Plush Mystery Charm Adoptable Pets featuring six collectible plush characters and two rare mystery pets. The collection launches October 26 exclusively at Petco stores nationwide and through Petco.com while supplies last. Each mystery box is priced at $15.99, with proceeds supporting Petco Love’s work helping shelter pets find homes.
Rather than basing the characters on licensed properties or existing mascots, Petco Love says the plush pets were inspired by the personalities of real adoptable animals. The collection is designed around the different goofy, quirky and cuddly traits found among shelter pets, giving the usual blind-box reveal an adoption theme.
Buyers will not know which plush pet they have received until opening the box. Six regular collectible pets are included in the series along with two rarer mystery designs, creating an eight-character collection for those hoping to find every one. Each box also includes a “Gotcha Day!” adoption certificate introducing the plush pet. A QR code lets the collector complete the character’s adoption digitally and unlock its individual story along with exclusive content.

The charitable component is built directly into the collection. Petco Love describes the series as “the blind box that gives back,” with every purchase supporting the nonprofit’s efforts to help pets and families across the country. Petco Love says that since 1999 it has invested more than $442 million in adoption and other lifesaving efforts and has helped more than 7.2 million pets find homes through partnerships with Petco and animal welfare organizations nationwide.
