Never-Before-Released Space Jam Art, Including Lola Bunny Debut Drawings, Heads to Auction

Space Jam 30th Anniversary

Thirty years after Space Jam brought Michael Jordan, Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes together on the basketball court, Propstore and Warner Bros. Archives are opening the vault for a new auction featuring more than 150 pieces tied to the film. The Space Jam 30th Anniversary Online Auction runs from October 19 through November 2, 2026, and includes animation artwork, concept paintings, prints and costumes, with nearly every lot starting at just $100.

Among the biggest highlights is a group of original production rough drawings from Bugs Bunny’s first meeting with Lola Bunny, a character introduced in Space Jam who went on to become a lasting part of the Looney Tunes lineup. The artwork includes graphite drawings with orange line work, key-frame references and camera lines used during production. Propstore estimates the lot at $1,500 to $3,000.

Four animation sketches featuring characters in various poses. The top left shows a female character with a shy expression, while the top right depicts a male character holding an object with an assertive stance. The bottom left features the same female character appearing more playful, and the bottom right shows the male character gesturing animatedly.

Also heading to auction are two original hand-painted concept artworks used to develop the Looney Tunes basketball court in Toon Land. One shows the court during the day, while the other depicts the location at night. The pair carries a pre-sale estimate of $2,000 to $4,000.

The auction is being presented with material from the Warner Bros. Archives, giving collectors access to pieces that Propstore says have never previously been released. One of the highest-estimated lots is not a piece of artwork at all. A VIP visit for four to the Warner Bros. Archives carries an estimate of $5,000 to $10,000, with bidding starting at $100.

Other highlights include a set of five original concept and layout drawings featuring Bugs Bunny, accompanied by “Bugs Layout,” “Tune Land” and “Here to Help” fine art giclées. That group is estimated at $1,500 to $3,000. A 30th Anniversary fine art giclée print paired with an original production drawing of Bugs taking the court is estimated at $400 to $800, while a “Mooky” Washington baseball uniform carries the same estimate range and begins with a $200 opening bid.

The auction also includes a broader selection of production material tied to Space Jam’s mix of traditional animation and live action. The 1996 Warner Bros. film brought together Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and Sylvester alongside some of the era’s biggest basketball stars, while also marking Lola Bunny’s debut. Propstore says more than 150 lots will be offered in total, with bidding open worldwide through Propstore’s Space Jam auction page.

Fans who register for the auction will also be automatically entered for a chance to win a large 30th Anniversary giclée print. No bid or purchase is required to enter. Warner Bros. will make a one-time donation to Make-A-Wish following the conclusion of the auction.

Chuck Costas, Vice President of Business Development at Propstore, said: “It’s amazing to see how Space Jam brought together basketball and animation in a way that continues to connect with audiences 30 years later. Propstore is delighted to partner with Warner Bros. Archives to offer a fresh selection of Space Jam artwork and items from the film that have never been released before in an auction celebrating the film’s creativity and lasting appeal. With most lots starting at just $100, there will be something for collectors at every level.”

The Space Jam 30th Anniversary Online Auction runs from October 19 through November 2, 2026.
