MINISO Opens First Overseas SUPER MINISO in Canada With Naruto, Stitch, Hello Kitty and More

Super Miniso Store

MINISO has opened its first SUPER MINISO store outside China, bringing the company’s new retail concept to Canada with a heavy focus on IP collectibles, character merchandise and first-to-market releases. The new store officially opened October 10 at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. MINISO describes SUPER MINISO as a “trendy and fun lifestyle” concept combining collectible merchandise with fashion, travel, beauty and everyday products, rather than separating character-driven items into their own section.

The biggest attraction at launch is the Canadian debut of MINISO’s full Naruto collection. The store is also introducing the new Stitch Hit Snooze Series, with additional character collections already planned for future releases. Upcoming merchandise includes new collections from Demon Hunter and Chiikawa, the full lineup of new YOYO releases, more than 100 Hello Kitty and Friends products, and new items featuring Mofusand and Marvel.

MINISO says the SUPER MINISO format is designed around a mix of IP collectibles and lifestyle products, including limited releases and products making their market debut. The store also uses themed displays, dedicated character areas and expanded experience spaces intended to connect the merchandise with the characters and properties behind it.

The Square One opening included a series of fan-focused activities, IP showcases and interactive experiences built around the store’s different collections. MINISO said those elements are intended to make the location a destination for discovery and social experiences in addition to shopping.

The Canadian debut is part of a broader expansion of MINISO’s IP-focused retail formats. In November 2025, the company opened its largest Canadian store at West Edmonton Mall, a location spanning more than 1,000 square meters and carrying more than 5,000 IP-based SKUs. According to MINISO, that store set a North American single-day sales record for the company. MINISO followed that opening with a Hello Kitty and Friends pop-up in Toronto in April 2026. More stores are now on the way. MINISO says four of its IP theme park-style locations will open across Canada between October and November, including SUPER MINISO stores in Mississauga, Winnipeg and Montréal, along with the country’s first MINISO LAND in Toronto.

The company describes the two formats differently. SUPER MINISO combines IP collectibles with lifestyle merchandise, while MINISO LAND is designed as a more immersive, IP-centered experience with an even stronger emphasis on character-inspired products. The Square One store marks the first time the SUPER MINISO concept has expanded into an international market, with Naruto, Stitch and MINISO’s own YOYO property among the first collections greeting Canadian shoppers and more Hello Kitty, Chiikawa, Mofusand and Marvel merchandise already planned.
