Steve Aoki and JOOLA Launch Limited-Edition HiROQUEST Collection With Collectible Trading Cards

Steve Aoki is bringing his HiROQUEST universe to a new format, teaming with JOOLA for a limited-edition collection of pickleball paddles and table tennis rackets that also come with collectible trading cards. The JOOLA x Steve Aoki HiROQUEST collection launched October 6 and includes four pieces in total: two Perseus Pro V 16mm pickleball paddles and two Infinity Carbon table tennis rackets. Each is built around artwork and characters from Aoki’s HiROQUEST universe, with separate designs inspired by Hiro, the story’s protagonist, and Hyro, its antagonist.
The most notable part of the release may be what comes with the equipment. Every product includes a randomized JOOLA x HiROQUEST collectible trading card, with the cards available in base or numbered versions. That turns the collaboration into more than a limited-edition sports equipment release. Buyers are also getting a collectible tied directly to the HiROQUEST property, creating an added chase element depending on which card is packed with the paddle or racket. JOOLA did not disclose the print runs or numbering breakdown for the cards in its announcement.
The pickleball paddles are priced at $349.95 each, while the table tennis rackets are $199.95 each. All four feature HiROQUEST artwork, with the two colorways centered on Hiro and Hyro.
Aoki has been building HiROQUEST across several different forms of media and collectibles. The story began around his album “HiROQUEST: Genesis” and follows Hiro, a genetically augmented meta-human traveling across multiple worlds while confronting Hyro. The property has since expanded into graphic novels, manga, collectible trading cards and additional albums, including “HiROQUEST 2: Double Helix” and “HiROQUEST 3: Paragon.”
That existing trading card connection makes the JOOLA release a natural extension of the property. Instead of simply placing Aoki’s artwork on sports equipment, the collaboration connects the paddles and rackets back to an established collectible element of the HiROQUEST universe.
Aoki is also a longtime pickleball and table tennis player and has previously worked with JOOLA and the Aoki Foundation. According to JOOLA, that relationship helped lead to the new limited-edition release.
“JOOLA has been in my corner for years now, on and off the court,” said Steve Aoki. “They’ve always supported me as a player and as an artist, and that kind of relationship is rare. This collaboration means a lot to me because it’s not just a partnership — it’s with people I genuinely consider friends. Getting to create something real with them is a dream come true.”
“This collection grew out of years of friendship with Steve and his love for the games,” said Richard Lee, JOOLA President and CEO. “Bringing HiROQUEST onto our table tennis and pickleball equipment felt like a natural next chapter for our partnership.”
The limited-edition JOOLA x Steve Aoki HiROQUEST collection is available exclusively through JOOLA beginning October 6, 2026.
