Walmart Collector Con Returns October 8 With New and Exclusive Collectibles Drops

Walmart Collector Con

Walmart is bringing back Collector Con on October 8, with another round of new and exclusive releases spanning action figures, trading cards, dolls, plush, comics, coins and more. The next Walmart Collector Con begins at 10 AM ET, with the retailer promising “new & exclusive drops” aimed at collectors across a wide range of categories. Walmart has already set up dedicated sections for preorders, trading cards, action figures and vinyl figures, dolls and plush, comic books and coins, along with a separate area highlighting products tied to New York Comic Con.

The breadth of brands involved is one of the biggest parts of the event. Walmart’s Collector Con page currently highlights names including LEGO, Pokémon, Funko, McFarlane Toys, Pop Mart, NECA, Tamashii Nations, Bandai, Hasbro, Hot Wheels, Mattel, Panini, Topps, Transformers, WWE, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Street Fighter, Monster High, Masters of the Universe and Beast Kingdom, among others.

That mix means the October event will not be limited to traditional action-figure collectors. Trading card buyers have dedicated sections to watch, while coin collectors, comic fans, LEGO builders and collectors of vinyl figures and plush are also represented on the landing page. Walmart is additionally separating out “Only at Walmart” products and preorders, making it easier to identify releases that may be exclusive to the retailer.

The October 8 launch also falls on the opening day of New York Comic Con, and Walmart is specifically promoting an NYCC Booth section within Collector Con. That should make the morning particularly busy for collectors following both convention reveals and retailer-exclusive releases at the same time.

Walmart has not yet surfaced every individual October Collector Con release on the main landing page, so the full lineup is still taking shape. The current page functions largely as a preview, directing collectors toward the brands and categories that will be part of the event while counting down to the October 8 launch.
