Hasbro Reveals New Star Wars Black Series and Vintage Collection Figures for Spring 2027
Hasbro has unveiled a new wave of Star Wars action figures spanning both The Black Series and The Vintage Collection, with characters drawn from The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi and Star Wars Rebels. The reveals were made during a Hasbro Pulse Fanstream and include seven new 6-inch Black Series figures along with three Vintage Collection releases.
The Black Series lineup includes Queen Amidala, Anakin Skywalker in his Padawan appearance, a Galactic Marine, Luke Skywalker in his X-Wing pilot gear, IG-88, Tessek and an Imperial Stormtrooper. Queen Amidala is based on Padmé’s appearance in The Phantom Menace and features a film-inspired sculpt, photoreal deco and a soft-goods robe. Anakin comes from Attack of the Clones and includes a blue Lightsaber, a Lightsaber swing effect and an alternate Force hand, while the Revenge of the Sith Galactic Marine includes a blaster and backpack. Queen Amidala, Anakin and the Galactic Marine are scheduled to go up for preorder October 15 at 1 PM ET through Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers, with availability planned for spring 2027.
Luke Skywalker’s new Black Series figure recreates his X-Wing pilot appearance from A New Hope and comes with a removable pilot helmet, blaster and blue Lightsaber. IG-88 is based on the bounty hunter’s appearance in The Empire Strikes Back and includes two blasters, a vibro-ax and removable holster, while Tessek from Return of the Jedi comes with a blaster accessory. Those three figures are also scheduled for October 15 preorders and spring 2027 availability.
The new Black Series Stormtrooper takes a slightly different approach. Based on the Imperial trooper from A New Hope, the figure can be adjusted at the torso to vary its height within the 6-inch scale. Hasbro is also packaging it on an anniversary-style collectible blister card with special character artwork and including a blaster accessory. Preorder details have not yet been announced, although Hasbro says the figure is expected in spring 2027.
The Vintage Collection is getting a notable Star Wars Rebels release with the Lothal Rebels 3-pack. The 3.75-inch set includes Sabine Wren as Spectre-5, Ezra Bridger as Spectre-6 and Kanan Jarrus in a Stormtrooper disguise. Sabine comes with two blasters, a removable helmet and paint sprayer; Ezra includes a trooper helmet, backpack, Lightsaber and unlit hilt; and Kanan comes with a removable trooper helmet, Lightsaber, unlit hilt and blaster. The set uses Kenner-inspired packaging with a closed outer box and three individual blister cards carrying unique Vintage Collection numbers. Preorders open October 7 at 1 PM ET through Hasbro Pulse, Amazon, Walmart, Target and other participating retailers, with release planned for spring 2027.
Hasbro is also bringing two original trilogy droids back into The Vintage Collection. See-Threepio, better known as C-3PO, is based on A New Hope and features multiple points of articulation, detailed deco, Kenner-style packaging and a unique VC number. R2-D2 is likewise based on A New Hope and includes a swappable restraining-bolt panel in addition to the vintage-inspired card design. Both are scheduled for spring 2027, with preorder information still to come.
