Rocky 50th Anniversary Staircase Popcorn Bucket Coming to Theaters in November

Rocky is returning to theaters for its 50th anniversary, and the celebration will include a new limited-edition popcorn bucket designed specifically for the rerelease. Fathom Entertainment says participating theaters nationwide will offer a Rocky 50th Anniversary Staircase Popcorn Bucket during the film’s November 7-11 theatrical run. The collectible is part of a small lineup of concession merchandise created for the anniversary, which also includes a 130-ounce round Rocky 50th Anniversary popcorn tin and a 44-ounce beverage cup. All three items will be available only at participating theater locations while supplies last.

The Staircase Popcorn Bucket is the standout collectible in the group, giving fans a display piece tied directly to one of the most recognizable images associated with Rocky. Fathom does not list a price for the bucket in its announcement and notes that availability and potential purchase limits will vary by theater. Anyone hoping to pick one up will need to check with their local participating location for specific ordering requirements.

The concession collectibles are being released alongside a remastered 4K presentation of Rocky starring Sylvester Stallone. The 50th anniversary theatrical event will run for five days, from Saturday, November 7 through Wednesday, November 11. The rerelease also includes an exclusive featurette with clips, behind-the-scenes material and interview soundbites from I Play Rocky, along with a greeting from the cast of the upcoming film.

Rocky originally received 10 Academy Award nominations and won three, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Film Editing. The film was later selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 2006. The 50th anniversary rerelease brings the movie back to the big screen while giving fans a new group of theater-exclusive collectibles to mark the milestone.
