Hot Toys Reveals Ultra-Limited Black Widow Artisan Figure From Avengers: Age of Ultron
Hot Toys is revisiting Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow from Avengers: Age of Ultron with a new ultra-deluxe Artisan Edition figure limited to just 3,000 pieces. The Black Widow 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure (Artisan Edition) is based on Natasha Romanoff’s appearance in the 2015 Marvel Studios film and features a newly crafted headsculpt designed to capture Johansson’s likeness. Hot Toys has also incorporated its separate rolling eyeball system, allowing collectors to adjust the figure’s gaze for different poses and expressions.
One of the biggest upgrades comes from the hair. Rather than using a standard sculpted hairstyle, the Artisan Edition uses individually implanted premium wool material to recreate Natasha’s distinctive Age of Ultron look, with Hot Toys emphasizing the texture and individual waves throughout the design. The costume is based on Black Widow’s upgraded tactical gear from the film and includes USB-powered LED light-up stripes that produce a blue glow. The outfit is completed with Black Widow’s Bite gauntlets, a tactical belt with the Black Widow emblem on the buckle, a thigh strap with pistol holster, knee pads and soft vinyl boots.
Hot Toys is also including an extensive selection of weapons and accessories. Black Widow comes with her electroshock batons in both extended and retracted configurations, along with a tactical dagger that fits into her utility belt, a pistol and a rifle. Transparent blue electroshock effects can be attached to her gauntlets to recreate the electrical effect of Black Widow’s Bite.
The figure will come with a specially designed magnetic display base featuring the Avengers logo and a Black Widow character nameplate, giving collectors a display option built specifically around the Age of Ultron release.
Production will be limited to 3,000 units, and Hot Toys says the Artisan Edition will only be available in selected markets. Pre-orders have not yet opened, but collectors can currently RSVP through Sideshow to receive updates when ordering begins.
The new Black Widow release joins Hot Toys’ continuing lineup of Avengers: Age of Ultron figures. Sideshow is also highlighting the Iron Man Mark XLIII 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure, based on the red-and-gold armor Tony Stark wears in the film’s opening sequence. That figure is already available for pre-order.
With its implanted wool hair, light-up tactical suit, multiple weapon options and 3,000-piece production run, the Black Widow Artisan Edition is positioned as one of Hot Toys’ more premium Marvel releases tied to Avengers: Age of Ultron.
