Hot Toys Han Solo Figure First Looking Unboxing Revealed by Sideshow
Sideshow is giving Star Wars collectors a closer look at Hot Toys’ new Han Solo 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure ahead of its worldwide release, with a new unboxing video showing off the figure’s Harrison Ford likeness, Hoth outfit and assortment of accessories inspired by Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
The figure features a newly developed headsculpt designed to recreate Ford’s appearance as Han Solo in the 1980 film. Hot Toys has incorporated its rolling eyeball feature, allowing collectors to adjust Han’s gaze for different poses and displays. A selection of interchangeable hands is also included, providing additional options for recreating scenes and expressions from the movie.
Hot Toys has given particular attention to Han’s cold-weather clothing from the Hoth sequences in The Empire Strikes Back. His outfit includes a Hoth parka with bendable wire layered over a jacket and his familiar V-neck shirt. The figure also wears a utility belt with greeblies and a blaster holster, along with pants featuring the character’s second-class Corellian bloodstripes.
A selection of weapons and accessories draws from several memorable moments in Han’s journey during the film. The figure comes with a blaster pistol, welder and protective goggles similar to those used while making repairs aboard the Millennium Falcon. Collectors will also receive the breath mask associated with the sequence in which Han and the others discover they are inside an Exogorth, along with a droid caller.
The combination gives collectors several different display possibilities rather than limiting the figure to a single Empire Strikes Back scene. The Hoth clothing can be used to recreate Han’s time on the frozen planet, while the welder and goggles reference his attempts to keep the Millennium Falcon running. The breath mask adds another recognizable accessory from the group’s escape after leaving Hoth.
Sideshow’s new unboxing video provides the first close look at the finished collectible just before its worldwide release. The Han Solo 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure by Hot Toys is currently available for pre-order through Sideshow.
Sideshow also highlighted another Star Wars sixth-scale release featuring Leia Organa in her Boushh disguise from Return of the Jedi. That figure includes a new Carrie Fisher headsculpt with a low braided bun hairstyle and Hot Toys’ rolling eyeball system. Leia’s disguise includes studded gauntlets, shoulder armor, a bandolier, utility belt, wrap belt, tunics, cape, pants, boots with spats and tanks worn on her back.
The Leia figure comes with 10 interchangeable hands, a thermal detonator and an electrostaff, along with a specially designed display stand carrying the Star Wars logo and character nameplate. It is also available for pre-order through Sideshow.
