Coca-Cola Releases Limited-Edition Golden Cans Celebrating Spain’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Victory

Coca-Cola is turning Spain’s 2026 FIFA World Cup victory into a physical keepsake with a new run of limited-edition golden cans. The special cans are being released in Delhi/NCR through Coca-Cola India’s “Own a Piece of History” campaign, with pre-orders handled through Zepto. Coca-Cola says demand has been strong since launch week, with pre-orders pouring in.
The design centers on Spain’s World Cup win. Each golden can features the date of Spain’s FIFA World Cup victory alongside an image of the FIFA World Cup Trophy, giving the packaging a commemorative look tied directly to the tournament result.
Coca-Cola is clearly positioning the cans as more than ordinary beverage packaging. The company describes them as a limited-edition keepsake that lets fans hold onto a physical reminder of Spain’s championship. Pre-booking was offered exclusively through Zepto, while the cans are also being sold through Blinkit to consumers across Delhi/NCR.
The release continues Coca-Cola’s long association with the FIFA World Cup. According to the company, that relationship dates back to 1978, when Coca-Cola became an official tournament partner. In India, Coca-Cola also brought the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour to Delhi and Guwahati ahead of the tournament, marking the trophy’s return to those markets after nearly 12 years. The golden cans extend that campaign by giving fans something tangible connected to Spain’s victory.
Abhishek Gupta, VP, Customer Development, Coca-Cola INSWA, said, “Coca-Cola’s longstanding association with FIFA has been rooted in bringing fans closer to the moments and emotions that make football so special. With ‘Own a Piece of History’, we wanted to turn an unforgettable FIFA World Cup celebration into something fans could own. Our collaboration with Zepto allows us to respond to consumer excitement in real time, bringing together culture, fandom and immediacy to create an experience that goes beyond the product and gives fans something that feels both personal and memorable.”
The company had already been active around the tournament with its “Matchday Hangout” initiative, which brought football fans and social media influencers together for a watchalong experience. The golden cans take a different approach by turning the celebration itself into something fans can keep.
