GameSir Unveils Official Fortnite Mobile Controller Collection

GameSir is teaming up with Fortnite for a new line of officially licensed mobile controllers, beginning with two models designed around the game’s characters and visual style. The first releases in the collection are the GameSir G8 Plus Fortnite Edition and the GameSir X5 Lite for Xbox Fortnite Edition. Both are scheduled to launch this fall through GameSir and select retailers worldwide, including Amazon, Best Buy, AliExpress, TikTok Shop and Walmart.

GameSir says the collection combines its controller technology with Fortnite-inspired designs, collectible packaging and digital in-game bonuses. The G8 Plus Fortnite Edition is positioned as the flagship model. It features Hall Effect sticks designed to resist drift, mappable rear buttons, console-style ergonomics and multi-platform compatibility. The controller will also come in Fortnite-themed packaging.

Each G8 Plus Fortnite Edition will include one digital Fortnite bonus item. Depending on the controller, that bonus can be the Bully Emote, Burpee Emote, Gun Show Emote, Page-Turner Emote, Go! Go! Go! Emote or Harmony Emote.

The X5 Lite for Xbox Fortnite Edition takes a more portable approach. GameSir describes it as an ultra-lightweight wired controller built for mobile play, with responsive controls and Fortnite-inspired styling. Those models will also include an in-game bonus, with possible rewards including the Extra Cheese Glider, Storm Sigil Glider, Cerberus Glider, Snow Squall Glider or On Your Mark… Emote.

The company is also signaling that the two announced models are only the beginning. GameSir says the broader Fortnite collection will include additional character-inspired editions, giving players a choice between the G8 Plus, the X5 Lite for Xbox and other designs based around Fortnite characters. Specific additional editions have not yet been revealed.

“Our goal wasn’t simply to build another controller,” Eric Bright, GameSir’s Vice President of Partnerships & Product Strategy for North America, said in announcing the collaboration. “We wanted to create the ultimate Fortnite experience, from the premium hardware to the authentic character-inspired designs.”

The partnership was facilitated by IMG Licensing. GameSir has not yet announced pricing, exact launch dates or which digital bonus will be paired with each individual controller. The company says those details will be revealed closer to launch.

The GameSir Fortnite controller collection is scheduled to launch this fall.
