Kura Sushi and Crunchyroll Launch The Apothecary Diaries Collectibles With Acrylic Charms, Bookmarks and More

The Apothecary Diaries is coming to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar with a new limited-time collaboration that gives anime fans a chance to collect acrylic charms, bookmarks, stickers and an exclusive chopsticks set. Kura Sushi USA and Crunchyroll announced the promotion, bringing characters including Maomao and Jinshi into the restaurant chain’s Bikkura Pon prize system from September 18 through October 31. The collaboration also includes themed food items and a separate in-restaurant giveaway for Kura Sushi Rewards members.
The main attraction is a new assortment of randomized The Apothecary Diaries capsule prizes. The lineup includes 10 collectible lucky acrylic charms, magnet bookmark two-piece sets and sticker rolls. Guests can earn a randomized capsule prize after consuming 15 sushi plates, another after 25 plates and then one for every additional 15 plates.
Most of the prizes will also be available for individual purchase at Kura Sushi locations, through the chain’s online ordering site and on DoorDash. One item, however, will remain exclusive to the Bikkura Pon system: a rare Maomao hologram lucky acrylic charm. That makes the hologram charm the clear chase piece of the promotion.
Because it cannot simply be ordered separately, collectors hoping to land one will need to obtain it through a randomized Bikkura Pon capsule while dining at Kura Sushi. Availability can vary by location and is not guaranteed.
Kura Sushi is also offering a second collectible tied to the collaboration. On September 23, Kura Sushi Rewards members who spend at least $85 on an in-restaurant order can receive a The Apothecary Diaries x Kura Sushi chopsticks set with a cloth case. The giveaway is limited to one per member and will be available only while supplies last.
The promotion follows the format Kura Sushi has used for a growing number of anime and entertainment collaborations, combining themed meals with small collectible items distributed through its Bikkura Pon system. The platform ties prizes directly to the restaurant experience. Diners insert finished plates into a table-side return slot, with plate counts triggering opportunities to receive randomized capsule prizes. Kura says more than 600 million plates have been served through its U.S. restaurants, making the prize system a major part of the chain’s identity.
The Apothecary Diaries collaboration also includes two limited-time food items inspired by the series. Maomao’s Soy Ginger Wonton Noodles feature a soy sauce-based broth with dashi and ginger, ramen noodles, wontons, chashu pork and green onions. Jinshi’s Fried Tuna Roll includes fried tuna, avocado, lettuce and pickled carrots, topped with purple yuzu cream sauce, purple panko and sesame seeds.
The collaboration arrives just ahead of the October 2 premiere of The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 on Crunchyroll. Seasons 1 through 3 are available through the streaming service, with Seasons 2 and 3 exclusive to Crunchyroll.
Kura Sushi currently operates more than 90 restaurants across 24 states and Washington, D.C., giving the promotion a fairly broad U.S. footprint. The Apothecary Diaries x Kura Sushi promotion begins September 18 and runs through October 31, with collectible availability varying by location.
