Pete Alonso’s 300th Career Home Run Gets Topps NOW Card

Pete Alonso’s 300th career home run is already getting the Topps NOW treatment, with a new card released just hours after the former New York Mets star reached the milestone in dramatic fashion at Citi Field. The new 2026 MLB Topps NOW Pete Alonso Card #682 is available through September 17 and commemorates Alonso hitting career home run No. 300 while playing for the Baltimore Orioles against his former team.

It was about as fitting a setting as Alonso could have found for the milestone. With Baltimore trailing the Mets in the ninth inning Tuesday night, Alonso connected for the 300th homer of his career to tie the game. The blast came at Citi Field, where Alonso spent the first seven seasons of his career and became the Mets’ all-time home run leader before joining Baltimore.

The reaction from Mets fans made the moment even more unusual. Alonso was loudly cheered as he rounded the bases, and the crowd eventually brought him back out of the Orioles dugout for a curtain call. It was Alonso’s 124th career home run at Citi Field, but his first there while wearing another team’s uniform. Baltimore eventually won the game 7-5 in 11 innings.

Topps is giving collectors considerably more to chase than the standard card. Card #682 starts at $11.99 for a single card, with quantity discounts available for five, 10 and 20-card orders. In addition to the open-edition base card, Topps says orders can contain Pete Alonso image variation short prints and traditional foil parallels numbered to /50, /25, /10 and /5, along with a one-of-one FoilFractor.

The biggest chase, however, is a series of Alonso autograph-relic redemption cards. Topps has created versions numbered to /10 and /5 as well as a one-of-one Auto-Relic redemption. Those cards, along with short prints and parallels, can replace the base card in qualifying orders.

Additional Chrome parallels could also become available if the card reaches Topps’ higher print-run thresholds. Topps says Chrome parallels begin unlocking at a print run of 50,000, with additional Chrome, SuperFractor and Opal Chrome possibilities added at progressively higher totals.

Alonso entered the series against New York having hit 264 home runs during his seven seasons with the Mets. His 300th came during his first trip back to Citi Field as a member of Baltimore, turning what was already an emotional homecoming into one of the more memorable milestone home runs of the 2026 season.

Topps NOW Card #682 is available directly from Topps through September 17. The final print run will be announced after the ordering window closes.
