Panini NWSL Player of the Day Promotion Coming to 400 Hobby Shops Nationwide

Panini NWSL Player of the Day

Panini America is bringing its Player of the Day promotion to the NWSL, with a new in-store program launching October 15 at 400 hobby shops across the United States. The promotion will run through December 1 and is timed with the release of three new Panini NWSL products: Donruss Optic NWSL, Crown Royale NWSL and Prizm Black NWSL.

Hobby shop registration opens September 16, with Panini planning to publish a full list of participating stores, official rules and program details through its Player of the Day shop locator on October 10. Participating stores will receive a free promotional kit that includes NWSL-themed posters, exclusive Player of the Day promo packs, T-shirts, shopping bags, a breaker mat, an autographed card and other materials for the promotion.

The centerpiece of the program is an in-store poster featuring one NWSL star from each team, along with three wild cards: Trinity Rodman, Marta and Sophia Wilson. Each day, one player will be designated as the “Player of the Day.” Collectors who purchase packs of officially licensed Panini NWSL cards and pull that player, or one of the three wild cards, will win prizes. Daily winners will also be entered into weekly drawings at each participating hobby shop.

Panini says the promotion is designed to encourage repeat visits while creating more activity around local card shops, similar to its other Player of the Day programs. The biggest prizes come at the end of the promotion. Each participating store will award one grand prize winner an exclusive autographed Player of the Day card featuring an NWSL star. Panini says the autograph lineup includes names such as Sophia Wilson, Mallory Swanson, Rose Lavelle, Emily Sonnett, Kenza Dali and Riley Tiernan.

Those store winners will then be entered into a national sweepstakes. Twenty-five runners-up will receive another autographed card, while the national grand prize winner will receive a VIP experience that includes Panini merchandise, exclusive collectibles and the opportunity to meet an NWSL player.

Panini said the new program follows strong response to its WNBA and World Cup-themed Player of the Day promotions. “Our WNBA and World Cup themed player of the day promotions were remarkably well-received by hobby shops and collectors, so we felt the timing was perfect to combine soccer and one of the most popular women’s sports leagues for an NWSL-themed promotion timed with the release of our 2026 NWSL-licensed trading cards,” said Jason Howarth, Panini America’s Senior Vice President of Marketing & Athlete Relations.

The promotion also gives Panini another way to support its growing NWSL card lineup inside hobby shops rather than relying only on product releases. Eligible shops will receive registration invitations by email beginning September 16. Stores that do not receive an invitation can request consideration by contacting Panini with their shop name and address.

The Panini NWSL Player of the Day promotion begins October 15 and runs through December 1 at 400 participating hobby shops nationwide.
