Aliens 40th Anniversary New Ripley and Power Loader Collectible Figures Revealed by Hot Toys

Hot Toys is marking the 40th anniversary of Aliens with a new group of high-end collectibles built around one of the most memorable scenes in the 1986 sci-fi classic. Headlining the anniversary releases is a new Ellen Ripley & Power Loader 1/6 Scale Collectible Set, recreating Ripley’s climactic showdown with the Alien Queen. Hot Toys is also offering the Power Loader separately, while additional Aliens collectibles include an Alien Queen figure and new standalone Ellen Ripley releases.
The centerpiece of the new collection pairs a highly detailed Ellen Ripley figure with the Caterpillar P-5000 Power Loader. Hot Toys’ new Ripley figure features a newly developed head sculpt with the company’s separate rolling eyeball system, allowing collectors to adjust her gaze. The figure also uses an articulated silicone upper body to create a seamless appearance across the exposed arms and shoulders, along with weathering and bloody paint applications designed to match Ripley’s appearance during the final portion of the movie.
Her clothing has received the same treatment. Ripley comes dressed in a torn and weathered white T-shirt over a gray tank top, along with a grenade harness, wristwatch, light blue-gray pants and weathered Reebok Alien Stompers.
Hot Toys even included a particularly specific movie detail. Collectors can replace Ripley’s right shoe with a dark gray sock, recreating the moment when one of her Alien Stompers is torn away during the airlock sequence.
The Power Loader is considerably larger. Standing 20.27 inches tall, or 51.5 centimeters, the 1/6 scale machine has more than 18 points of articulation. Its mechanical arms, legs and grabbing claws are articulated, while the cockpit includes sliding joysticks, an adjustable protective roll cage and a functional webbing and harness system. Hot Toys has also built lighting into the display piece. USB-powered LEDs illuminate both the warning beacon on top of the Power Loader and the interior of its roll cage. The machine is designed to accommodate the 1/6 scale Ripley figure in the operator’s seat, allowing collectors to recreate the movie’s final battle as a complete display. Weathering, visible cable wiring and the detailed mechanical framework add to the industrial appearance of the Power Loader.
Collectors who want to complete the other half of the showdown can also add Hot Toys’ Alien Queen 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure. The Alien Queen recreates the creature introduced in Aliens with its distinctive crown-like head, inner jaws, two pairs of clawed arms and bladed tail. Hot Toys is positioning the figure as a companion piece to the Ripley and Power Loader display, with pre-orders also open through Sideshow.
