The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Glow-in-the-Dark Collectible Cups Arrive at Jack in the Box

Jack in the Box is bringing Springfield to the drive-thru this Halloween with a new The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror promotion that includes six glow-in-the-dark collectible cups, specially designed packaging and a limited-time menu inspired by the long-running animated series.
The collaboration launched September 10 at participating Jack in the Box restaurants nationwide. The collectible centerpiece is a set of six special-edition glow-in-the-dark cups featuring Treehouse of Horror-inspired designs and characters including Hugo, Bart’s evil twin brother, Krusty the Clown, Marge, Kang and Kodos. The cups are available with the new Munchie Meal of Horror while supplies last. Collectors won’t necessarily know which design they are getting ahead of time, with Jack in the Box encouraging fans to see which character comes with each meal and try to collect all six.
The collectible treatment extends to the packaging. Each Munchie Meal of Horror comes in an exclusive Treehouse of Horror box that places Jack Box in the world of Springfield and incorporates characters and Easter eggs referencing past Treehouse of Horror episodes. Even the packaging for the new Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes features Homer’s transformation into a donut from the classic Treehouse of Horror segment in which he sells his soul for one.
The Munchie Meal of Horror gives customers a choice between a Double Krusty Burger of Terror or Double Chicken Sandwich of Terror, along with two tacos, seasoned curly fries and a drink. Both sandwiches use a new Spooky Simpsons Sauce, described as a smoky BBQ ketchup created specifically for the promotion, and are served on sesame seed buns inspired by burgers seen on The Simpsons.
Other menu choices include the Krusty Burger of Terror, Double Krusty Burger of Terror, Triple Krusty Burger of Terror and Double Chicken Sandwich of Terror. The Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes are served warm with cinnamon sugar, pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles in a nod to Homer’s instantly recognizable pink donut.
“The best collaborations start with understanding what excites our fans, and we know The Simpsons has a special connection with Jack guests,” said Katelyn Zborowski, Chief Marketing Officer at Jack in the Box. “Jack and The Simpsons share an irreverent sense of humor, and Treehouse of Horror has put its own twisted spin on Halloween for decades. This collaboration gave us the perfect opportunity to bring those worlds together and fully immerse Jack in Springfield from the food and collectibles to Jack Box himself.”
“This Treehouse of Horror Munchie Meal is the most authentic and funny and scary and deeply Simpsons-y fun food collaboration the show has ever done,” said Matt Selman, executive producer and showrunner, THE SIMPSONS. “Jack in the Box has raised the bar with these beautiful and spooky collectors cups — and the Munchie Meal is dense with deep references for both Simpsons and Jack in the Box fans alike.”
The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror promotion is available for a limited time beginning September 10 at participating Jack in the Box restaurants, through the Jack app and online. The six glow-in-the-dark cups and other promotional items are available while supplies last.
