Wendy’s Frosty Frights Return With 12 Halloween Toys, Mini Trading Cards and a 13th Collectible

Wendy's Boo Books

Wendy’s is bringing Frosty Frights back for Halloween, and the 2026 promotion is giving collectors a much bigger set to chase. Beginning September 14, Wendy’s Kids’ Meals in the U.S. will feature 12 different Frosty Frights toys built around six new characters. Each character comes in two versions, creating a regular assortment and a matching group of variants.

The six characters are Numb Chuck, Sir Choc-O-Lot, E.A.T., Cold Foot, Shiver Wing and Taranchilla. That alone makes completing the 2026 set more involved than simply finding one of each character. Collectors looking for everything will need all six standard versions and all six variants before even getting to the additional collectible Wendy’s has planned outside of Kids’ Meals.

Each Frosty Frights toy also comes with a sticker sheet and mini trading card, adding another collectible component to this year’s promotion. Kids’ Meals will be packaged in a full-color Frosty Frights-themed bag as well. The mini trading cards are a particularly notable addition for anyone who has followed the growth in collectible fast-food promotions. Rather than stopping with the toy itself, Wendy’s has turned each character into a small package of themed items that can be collected together.

Then there is the 13th Frosty Frights character. Wendy’s calls it the “(un)lucky 13th,” and unlike the other 12 toys, it will not be distributed through regular Kids’ Meals. Instead, Wendy’s Rewards members will have a chance to get the additional collectible through a Wendy’s Rewards Drop in the company’s app. Wendy’s has not yet revealed the full details of that drop, giving collectors another part of the promotion to watch as Halloween approaches.

The regular Frosty Frights assortment will be available for a limited time and while supplies last at participating Wendy’s restaurants. The toys will be included with participating Kids’ Meals, which can be ordered with options including Chicken Tenders, Chicken Nuggets, a Hamburger or Cheeseburger. Canada will also get Frosty Frights beginning September 28, although Wendy’s says participating Canadian restaurants will offer six collectibles rather than the 12-toy U.S. assortment.

Frosty Frights are arriving alongside the return of Wendy’s annual Boo! Books fundraiser. Boo! Books are priced at $1 and include five coupons redeemable for free Jr. Frostys along with a coupon for a $1.99 Kids’ Meal with purchase. In the U.S., Wendy’s says 90 cents from every Boo! Book sold benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The books can be purchased at participating Wendy’s restaurants, through the Wendy’s app and through other participating Wendy’s ordering options.

Frosty Frights begin appearing in U.S. Wendy’s Kids’ Meals September 14.
