Lionel Messi Four-Goal Performance Gets Topps NOW Card With 1-of-1 Auto-Relic Chase

Lionel Messi Topps Now Card

Lionel Messi’s four-goal night for Inter Miami CF is getting a Topps NOW card, and the release includes a one-of-one autographed game-used relic among its biggest chases. The new 2026 MLS Topps NOW Lionel Messi Card #70 celebrates Messi’s performance against CF Montréal on August 29, when he scored four times in Inter Miami’s 7-1 victory. The four goals established a club record for goals in a single match and marked the eighth four-goal outing of Messi’s career.

Messi also reached another MLS milestone that night. According to the back of the Topps card, he became the fastest player in league history to record 20 regular-season multi-goal games, reaching the mark in just 72 appearances.

The base card features Messi in Inter Miami’s pink uniform with the headline “Four-Goal Haul Writes Inter Miami CF History.” It is being sold as an open-edition Topps NOW release, meaning the final print run will be determined by the number ordered before the sales window closes.

This release goes well beyond the standard base card. Topps is randomly inserting relic redemption cards numbered to 10 and five, along with a one-of-one auto-relic redemption. The 1/1 shown by Topps combines Messi’s autograph with a piece of game-used ball and carries the same four-goal headline as the base card.

Collectors can also chase four foil parallels: Orange /25, Black /10, Red /5 and a one-of-one FoilFractor. Any parallel or other non-base card replaces the regular base card in an order, with the odds depending on the total number of cards purchased across the print run.

There could be even more versions if sales climb high enough. A print run of at least 50,000 unlocks Chrome parallels numbered to /99 and /50 along with lower-numbered versions. At 100,000, the lineup expands to include Chrome parallels /25, /10 and /5 plus a 1/1 SuperFractor. Opal Chrome cards begin unlocking at 250,000, while a 500,000-card print run would add a one-of-one White OpalFractor Chrome.

A single Messi card costs $11.99. Topps is also offering five for $49.99, 10 for $89.99 and 20 for $169.99. The ordering window runs from August 31 through September 3, with Topps estimating shipment 10 to 15 business days after the sale expires. The final print run will be announced afterward.
