TOMS Turns Tennis Balls Into Limited-Edition Alpargatas With Collectible Canister Packaging

TOMS is putting an unusual spin on tennis-inspired footwear with a limited-edition collection designed to look and feel like actual tennis balls. The new Tennis Alpargatas just launched in men’s and women’s styles, each priced at $125. The collection is available exclusively through TOMS.com and TikTok Shop while supplies last.
The shoes lean heavily into the visual identity of the sport. Fluorescent yellow felt covers the uppers to recreate the familiar texture and color of a tennis ball, while bonded tape detailing and mesh panels take inspiration from court nets. Perforated leather footbeds are finished in court blue.
The women’s version adds another tennis-themed detail with embroidered players positioned across the shoes as if they are rallying back and forth. TOMS describes the collection as a mix of courtside heritage and streetwear, aimed in part at “style collectors” looking for something deliberately unconventional.
The collectible angle extends beyond the shoes themselves. Every pair arrives inside an oversized tennis ball-inspired canister created specifically for the release. Rather than ordinary shoebox packaging, TOMS designed the container as a keepsake that can remain on display after the shoes are removed.
That presentation makes the release particularly interesting for sneaker and tennis memorabilia collectors. The shoes, bright felt construction and oversized canister are all built around one recognizable object, essentially turning a tube of tennis balls into a limited-edition footwear package. The launch coincides with a major week of tennis in New York. TOMS is also partnering with Black Girls Tennis Club to support clinics in Central Park aimed at building confidence, community and access to the sport.
The limited-edition TOMS Tennis Alpargatas are available now for $125 in men’s and women’s versions, with both the shoes and their collectible tennis ball-style packaging offered only while supplies last.
