Life-Size Gremlins Animatronics Bring Mohawk, Stripe and More to The Home Depot for Halloween

Gremlins collectors looking for something much larger than a figure or prop replica have two new display pieces to consider this Halloween. Gemmy Industries, working with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, has released a new pair of life-size Gremlins animatronics through The Home Depot. The lineup includes a 3.5-foot animated Mohawk and a 4-foot-wide three-character Gremlins display featuring Stripe, a movie-going Gremlin and the Flasher Gremlin.

Mohawk is making his debut in the new animatronic line. The character has been recreated with scaly skin, oversized ears, sharp teeth and illuminated yellow-red eyes. When activated, his head turns while he laughs and speaks, with Gemmy using technology that synchronizes the audio with the movement of his mouth.

At 3.5 feet tall, the Mohawk piece is designed for indoor display and can serve as either Halloween décor or a permanent centerpiece for a Gremlins collection.

The larger of the two releases brings three characters together in one setup. The 4-foot-tall Gremlins Trio stretches approximately 5 feet across and recreates three memorable looks from the franchise. Stripe appears wearing 3D glasses and a collegiate-style T-shirt with a large “G” across the front. Beside him is a movie-going Gremlin dressed in a red hoodie and holding a bowl of popcorn, while the Flasher Gremlin wears his familiar trench coat and dark sunglasses.

All three characters feature animated head movements, illuminated eyes and sound effects that include laughter and mumbled phrases. Their movements are coordinated across the display, giving the piece more of a full scene presentation than a standalone Halloween prop.

For collectors with limited storage space, Gemmy has also designed the animatronics to collapse when not in use. Both releases use sturdy base stands and are intended for relatively easy setup and seasonal storage. Although Gemmy is marketing the pieces for Halloween, the company also points out that the Gremlins theme works into the holiday season, making the characters a natural crossover between horror collecting and Christmas displays.

The new Animated Mohawk and Animated Gremlins Trio are available both in stores and online through The Home Depot.
