Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection Includes Individually Numbered Series X25 Console and Special Edition Controller

Xbox is celebrating 25 years with a limited-edition hardware collection built around the new Xbox Series X25 console and a matching Special Edition Wireless Controller.

Pre-orders for the Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection opened August 26, beginning with email invitations sent to some of Xbox’s most dedicated fans. Wider pre-orders open Thursday, August 27 at 7 AM PDT through Xbox and participating retailers in select markets, with availability limited while supplies last.

The centerpiece is the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console, which uses a translucent “OG Green” design filled with details and tributes to Xbox’s history. Each console is individually numbered with its own unique engraving, giving every system a distinct identifying number.

Xbox is also including a full-game download of Halo: Campaign Evolved with every Series X25 console. The game is described by Xbox as a faithful but modernized remake of the campaign that helped define the original Xbox for millions of players. The complete Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection launches November 13, 2026, with an MSRP of $899.99 in the United States. Pricing will vary by market, and Xbox is limiting pre-orders to one anniversary collection per customer.

Collectors who want the anniversary design without buying the full console package will have another option. The Xbox X25 Special Edition Wireless Controller is being sold separately and carries the same translucent OG Green styling along with design details inspired by Xbox’s 25-year history. The controller launches earlier than the console collection, arriving October 20. Pre-orders are already open in select markets.

With its individually numbered console, translucent throwback design and bundled Halo: Campaign Evolved download, the Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection is being positioned as both functioning gaming hardware and a commemorative piece marking a quarter-century of Xbox.
