Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide Is Available Now With Limited Edition Collector’s Box Set

A new Pokémon reference book covering every Pokémon from the Kanto region through the Paldea region is now available from Pikachu Press, with collectors able to choose between the standalone hardcover and a more elaborate Limited Edition Box Set packed with exclusive extras.

The Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide is a 336-page hardcover drawing on information and artwork from the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon video games and the animated series. It includes a foreword written by The Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara.

That scope makes the book considerably more than a simple character encyclopedia. It brings together material from several major parts of the Pokémon franchise in one volume, giving readers a single guide spanning generations of Pokémon while presenting the characters through artwork and detailed facts.

The more collectible version is the Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide Limited Edition Box Set. It includes the hardcover book inside a multi-layered deluxe box along with a certificate of authenticity and several exclusive items tied to different parts of the Pokémon franchise.

Among those extras is an exclusive Pokémon TCG playmat, along with two collectible original video game art prints and two collectible animation prints. The mix of TCG, video game and animation material mirrors the approach taken inside the book itself, but gives the Limited Edition version several physical collectibles that are not part of the standard release.

The Limited Edition Box Set is available only in the United States and Canada. Both it and the standalone Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide are available through Pokémon Center and other booksellers.
