Avengers: Endgame Encore Popcorn Buckets Include Light-Up Nano Gauntlet, Iron Man Helmet and Arc Reactor Tin
Avengers: Endgame is heading back to theaters in September, and the return is bringing a new wave of concession collectibles that may prove nearly as big a draw for Marvel collectors as the movie itself.
The merchandise being released for Avengers Endgame: Encore is led by two elaborate popcorn containers inspired by Tony Stark: a Nano Gauntlet with light-up Infinity Stones and an Iron Man Mark 85 helmet with illuminated features. A third Arc Reactor tin has also been revealed for at least some theater chains, giving collectors several pieces tied directly to Iron Man and the final events of Endgame.
The Iron Man helmet may be the most unusual of the group. The red, gold and silver container has glowing eyes, with a projection feature capable of displaying “I Love You 3000.” The Nano Gauntlet uses a red, gold and silver design with all six Infinity Stones illuminated by LEDs, while the front portion opens to hold popcorn.
Fandango provided some additional specifications when it briefly offered both collectibles through its FanStore. The Iron Man Helmet is listed as holding 16 ounces, while the Nano Gauntlet holds 26 ounces.
Fandango launched an Endgame Encore Bundle for $49.99 that included one ticket to Avengers Endgame: Encore along with the buyer’s choice of either the Iron Man Helmet or Nano Gauntlet. Shipping was additional, popcorn was not included, and Fandango said the buckets would begin shipping to U.S. addresses in October. The offer didn’t last long: Fandango now lists the bundle as sold out.
The good news is that Fandango was far from the only place getting the collectibles.
Regal has confirmed both the Avengers Nano Gauntlet Popcorn Container and Mark 85 Helmet Popcorn Container for select locations. Each is scheduled to go on sale September 24, one day before Endgame Encore officially returns to theaters, and Regal says quantities will be available only while supplies last.
Cinemark has also revealed its Avengers Endgame: Encore collectibles and says they are “coming soon” to its theaters. The promotional material shows the LED Nano Gauntlet and Iron Man helmet among the items heading to Cinemark locations.
AMC Theatres is joining the rollout as well. AMC says its Endgame Encore concession collectibles will become available in theaters beginning September 24 and will be sold only while supplies last. Unlike Fandango’s shipped bundle, AMC’s announcement specifically describes its collectibles as in-theater purchases.
The selection gets even larger outside the United States. Vue has confirmed that Nano-Gauntlet popcorn containers, Iron Man helmet tubs and Arc Reactor tins are all coming to its cinemas in September. That makes Vue’s announcement particularly notable because it explicitly confirms the Arc Reactor as a third Endgame Encore collectible rather than just the two larger popcorn containers.
ODEON has also announced that Avengers Endgame merchandise is “coming soon,” although its initial announcement did not provide prices or an exact release date.
Marcus Theatres has separately teased the Endgame Encore Gauntlet Popcorn Bucket as coming soon to its locations. Unlike Regal, Marcus had not announced a specific on-sale date at the time of its initial reveal.
So far, the confirmed sellers include AMC Theatres, Regal, Cinemark, Marcus Theatres and Fandango in the United States, along with Vue and ODEON in the United Kingdom. More theater chains could still announce their own availability as the September release gets closer.
The collectibles arrive alongside Avengers Endgame: Encore, which returns to theaters September 25. Marvel Studios officially began selling tickets August 25, turning the rerelease into more than just another chance to see the 2019 movie on a big screen.
