Chiikawa Happy Bag 2027 Brings Sheep-Themed Plushies and Collectibles to Overseas Fans for First Time

Chiikawa’s annual New Year’s Happy Bag is returning for 2027 with a sheep-themed collection of plushies, acrylic goods and other merchandise, and this time fans outside Japan will be able to order one directly.
Gray Parka Service, the official merchandise partner behind Chiikawa Market, announced that pre-orders for the “Chiikawa Happy Bag 2027 (Year of the Sheep)” will open August 26 through the official Chiikawa Market web store. The company says the annual release typically draws a high volume of orders from fans in Japan, but the 2027 edition marks the first time the Happy Bag will be offered to overseas customers.
The centerpiece is a trio of Zodiac Plushies featuring Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi dressed for 2027’s Year of the Sheep theme. Each character has fluffy fur and a rounded design inspired by the Japanese “eto” calendar cycle. There is also a more unusual fourth plush in the set. The Sheared Wool Mascot Plush depicts Chiikawa after its wool has been sheared to make yarn and comes as a ball-chain mascot.
The complete Happy Bag contains 12 items when the three individual Zodiac Plushies are counted separately. Along with the four plush pieces, buyers will receive a 100% cotton “We Made This” face towel, an acrylic stand and a seven-connected acrylic keychain made up of seven charms that can either be kept together or separated for individual use.
Other pieces include Kurimanju’s Shopping List Whiteboard, a reusable memo board for schedules and notes, and a photo booth-style acrylic sticker inspired by Japanese “purikura” photo booths. Hachiware appears on a “Gaming!” Lucky Bag mini tote, while a postcard book contains 14 different designs that can be displayed or used as message cards. The packaging itself is part of the merchandise. Everything comes inside a large outer tote bag that can be reused after the Happy Bag is opened.
International availability is a major change for this year’s release. Chiikawa Market says it now ships directly to overseas customers without requiring proxy-shopping or forwarding services, and the store supports multiple languages, local currencies and local payment methods. Applicable duties and fees are calculated at checkout.
Chiikawa began as a manga series created by illustrator Nagano and originally launched on X. The series follows Chiikawa alongside characters including Hachiware and Usagi, and has since expanded into an anime and a growing range of character merchandise.
