Pokémon Rayquaza Gold Star PSA 10 Card Sells for $122,000 at Goldin

A 2004 Japanese Pokémon Rayquaza Gold Star card has sold for $122,000 at Goldin, delivering another six-figure Pokémon result for one of the most recognizable Gold Star cards in the hobby.

The card is the Japanese Clash of the Blue Sky Unlimited Gold Star Holo #067 Rayquaza, graded PSA GEM MT 10. The Goldin auction closed with a $100,000 winning bid, bringing the final price to $122,000 with buyer’s premium.

Released in Japan in 2004, Rayquaza appears in its shiny coloration and carries the small gold star next to its name that identifies the card as part of the coveted Gold Star series. These cards became known for featuring shiny versions of Pokémon and for being difficult pulls from their original sets.

Condition takes this example into an even smaller group. PSA has graded the card GEM MT 10, its highest numerical grade. PSA’s population report currently lists 148 examples of the unlimited Japanese Rayquaza Gold Star at the GEM MT 10 level, with none graded higher.

Rayquaza has become one of the key Pokémon associated with the Gold Star era, and high-grade copies have been producing increasingly large auction results.

The $122,000 Goldin sale comes amid a particularly active market for the card. A PSA 10 example sold publicly for $136,500 in July 2026, according to PSA’s recorded sales history. Even with that higher recent result, crossing $100,000 again places the card firmly among the major modern-era Pokémon sales of 2026.
