Limited-Edition Jason Universe Patch Coming With New Friday the 13th Halloween Experience

Friday the 13th fans will have a new limited-edition collectible to hunt down this Halloween as part of a new partnership between Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group and Horror, Inc.

The companies announced that the Jason Universe will take over select Thirteenth Floor attractions this Halloween season with two officially licensed experiences, Jason Universe: Survive the Night and Jason Universe: Director’s Cut. For collectors, the biggest part of the announcement is an exclusive patch available through the more limited Director’s Cut experience.

Guests who take part in Jason Universe: Director’s Cut will leave with a limited-edition “Jason Universe: Director’s Cut” collectible patch. The press release does not reveal how many patches will be produced, but it notes that availability for the Director’s Cut experience will be “extremely limited” each night.

The interactive add-on places guests inside a rustic cabin, where they are given control over how Jason Voorhees attacks next. Four buttons labeled Panic, Slash, Strike and Stalk allow participants to influence the scene before receiving the collectible patch at the end of the experience.

The patch adds another piece of merchandise tied to the expanding Jason Universe brand. Horror, Inc. launched Jason Universe in 2024 as an effort to expand the Friday the 13th franchise into new projects and experiences. The franchise itself dates to the original Friday the 13th movie in 1980 and has since expanded across films, television, video games, comic books, collectibles, apparel and other merchandise.

Alongside Director’s Cut, Jason Universe: Survive the Night will offer an officially licensed walkthrough haunted attraction built around encounters with Jason. Thirteenth Floor described the overall collaboration as the first licensed Jason Universe attraction of its kind. Both experiences are scheduled to appear this Halloween season at select Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group attractions in Denver, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Phoenix, Green Bay, Minneapolis, New Orleans and Nashville.

For Friday the 13th collectors, the limited-edition Director’s Cut patch could make the attraction especially interesting. Unlike widely distributed licensed merchandise, the patch is tied directly to participation in a limited-capacity seasonal experience, giving fans a new piece of Jason Universe memorabilia connected to the franchise’s latest expansion.
