Gundam Promotional Card and Giveaways Coming to New York Comic Con 2026

Gundam collectors heading to New York Comic Con will have a new promotional card and several other giveaways to hunt down when Bandai Namco Filmworks brings Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO to the convention in October.

The company announced a GUNDAM Showcase 2026 @ NYC panel for October 8 from 3:30 to 4:30 PM ET on the New York Comic Con Main Stage. While the presentation will focus on new information about Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO, attendees will also have a chance to pick up a collection of Gundam promotional items.

Among the announced giveaways is a Gundam Card Game Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO promotional card. Bandai Namco Filmworks also plans to distribute a Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO poster, T-shirt, Gunpla shopping bag and Gundam Introduction Book. The company said additional items are still to be announced, with the contents and designs of distributed materials subject to change.

For trading card collectors, the RG XARX-ZERO promotional card is likely to be one of the most notable pieces connected to the appearance. Convention-distributed promo cards can give collectors another reason to attend franchise panels beyond the announcements themselves, particularly when they feature characters or projects tied to new Gundam releases.

Collectors will have more to see elsewhere on the New York Comic Con show floor. Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America will operate Booth #2619 as the main Gundam hub at the convention, while the TAMASHII NATIONS Booth #2417 will also feature Gundam exhibits, products and experiences.

The panel itself will provide new information about Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO, along with other Gundam news, upcoming initiatives and fan experiences. SEED FREEDOM ZERO is a prequel to Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM, the 2024 theatrical release that became the highest-grossing Gundam film in Japan.

Fans unable to attend New York Comic Con will also be able to follow the announcements through a special GUNDAM CHANNEL INTL program planned for October 8 at 3:45 PM ET. Bandai Namco Filmworks said the program will deliver the same updates presented at the NYCC panel, although it will not be a recording or live broadcast of the panel itself.

New York Comic Con 2026 runs October 8 through October 11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
