Spirit Halloween Opens 1,550 Stores With New Collectibles and 2026 Animatronics

Spirit Halloween is officially opening more than 1,550 stores across North America for the 2026 season, bringing back one of the biggest annual destinations for Halloween collectors. Alongside costumes and décor, this year’s stores will feature exclusive collectibles, new animatronics and an immersive Camp Harbor Lake experience inspired by campfire stories and 1980s horror.

Spirit’s seasonal stores have become more than a place to buy Halloween costumes. The company specifically highlights exclusive collectibles and décor as part of its 2026 assortment, alongside merchandise tied to fan-favorite franchises including Spider-Man, Toy Story, Fortnite and major horror properties. Spirit says shoppers will also find products based on classic themes such as Greek mythology.

Animatronics remain one of the biggest collecting categories at Spirit Halloween, and the company is again putting them at the center of its in-store experience. Select locations are being transformed into Camp Harbor Lake, where shoppers can walk through an abandoned cabin and encounter characters including Trash Bandit, Willow Witch, Whirling Wendy and Crackles. Spirit also says its broader 2026 lineup includes animatronics featuring established horror icons such as Michael Myers along with newly created monsters.

“Our fans count down the days until Jack the Reaper appears and our doors open. We’re thrilled to officially welcome them to Camp Harbor Lake for the 2026 season,” said Steven Silverstein, CEO of Spirit Halloween. “For many Halloween fans, visiting Spirit has become an annual tradition and the unofficial start of the season. We take great pride in being part of that tradition, while continuing to create new reasons to be surprised each year. From our immersive in store experience and industry-leading animatronics to exclusive costumes and one-of-a-kind décor, there’s something for every Halloween fan to discover.”

Spirit’s return also gives collectors another chance to hunt for items that are exclusive to the seasonal retailer. Because the company operates for a limited period each year, its exclusive décor, figures and animatronics often become closely associated with a particular Halloween season, giving each annual lineup its own identity for fans who collect Spirit merchandise year after year.

The company is also marking the 20th anniversary of Spirit of Children, its fundraising program supporting pediatric hospital Child Life departments. Spirit hopes to raise $20 million in 2026, with the campaign supporting more than 160 partner hospitals across North America. The program has raised more than $164 million to date.

With more than 1,550 stores now opening across the United States and Canada, the 2026 Spirit Halloween season gives collectors an early look at this year’s exclusive merchandise and a new group of display-sized animatronics.
