Spin Master to Acquire Stickerbox Maker Hapiko as It Expands Creative Play Business

Stickerbox

Spin Master is expanding its toy and creative play business with plans to acquire Hapiko Inc., the Brooklyn-based company behind Stickerbox, a voice-powered device that turns children’s ideas into physical stickers they can color, collect and use. The companies announced that they have entered into a definitive acquisition agreement, with Spin Master positioning Hapiko’s technology as a new platform for future play products.

Stickerbox combines voice-to-image generation with an ink-free printing system. Children describe what they want to create, and the device generates a printable outline that can then be colored and used as a sticker. Hapiko describes the system as child-safe and AI-powered, while Spin Master says the product is designed to encourage hands-on creativity rather than passive screen time.

The collecting element is built directly into the product. Spin Master says Stickerbox turns spoken ideas into stickers that can be colored, collected and applied in the physical world, giving children the ability to create their own personalized collections instead of simply opening a predetermined assortment. The company also sees the technology as having potential for future product extensions beyond Stickerbox itself.

Stickerbox has already generated significant demand since launching in late 2025. According to Spin Master, the product has sold out 13 times since its debut, helping establish Hapiko as an emerging player in technology-driven creative toys.

“We want to empower kids to bring their biggest ideas into the real world,” said Christina Miller, Spin Master’s CEO. “By pairing Hapiko’s platform with our track record of innovation, we can accelerate our vision for the future of play, giving kids access to fun, creative tools to design and bring their imaginations to life in new ways.”

“There’s nothing like a child’s imagination, how it sees the world and turns the everyday into magic,” said Arun Gupta, CEO of Hapiko Inc. “We built Stickerbox as a springboard for that creativity and by joining with Spin Master, we will have an even greater audience and platform for growth.”

The acquisition also adds another technology-focused product to a Spin Master portfolio that already includes brands such as PAW Patrol, Melissa & Doug, Bakugan and Rubik’s Cube, along with digital businesses including Toca Boca and Piknik. Spin Master operates across toys, entertainment and digital games, making Hapiko’s mix of AI-generated designs and physical play a natural fit with several parts of the company’s business.
