Joe Jonas Celebrates 37th Birthday With Pokémon Collector Theme and First-Pack ‘Bubble Mew’ Pull

Joe Jonas celebrated his 37th birthday with a Pokémon-themed party that put the franchise’s collecting culture front and center. Multiple social media posts from the celebration showed the Pokémon connection, including an Instagram post from his brother Nick Jonas captioned, “Gotta catch ’em all. We love you @joejonas happy birthday brother.”

The celebration went beyond Pokémon decorations, with Jonas also opening Pokémon Trading Card Game packs as part of the birthday festivities. Joe Jonas opened a Paldean Fates Booster Bundle containing six packs for a birthday rip and hit one of the set’s most recognizable cards immediately.

On the first pack, Joe Jonas pulled the Mew ex card commonly known by collectors as “Bubble Mew.” The nickname comes from the card’s distinctive artwork, and the pull turned the pack opening into a memorable collecting moment during the birthday celebration. Joe immediately sleeved the card and handed it to someone off camera before diving into a pool.

The birthday celebration offered an unusual celebrity crossover with the Pokémon hobby. Jonas not only celebrated with a Pokémon theme, but also took part in one of the hobby’s most familiar activities by opening packs and landing a notable card right out of the first one.

When it comes to collecting, celebrities are just like us, except maybe just a bit luckier.
