Funko Launches Pokémon Pop! Yourself Collection With PokémonXP Exclusives

Funko Pokemon Pop Yourself

Funko is bringing Pokémon customization to its Pop! Yourself line, with the new options debuting at PokémonXP later this month.

The company announced that fans will be able to create personalized Funko Pop! collectibles using official Pokémon customization options beginning at PokémonXP, which runs August 28 through August 30 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Funko will be located at Booth #1116 during the event.

The new Pop! Yourself x Pokémon experience lets fans build a personalized figure by selecting features including skin tone, hair, glasses and facial hair. Collectors can then choose an official Pokémon Trainer cosplay and select a partner Pokémon Funko Pop! buddy. Funko says fans who want more than one partner can also add a buddy pack.

The personalized packaging can also be customized with the collector’s name on an exclusive Pokémon Pop! Yourself box.

PokémonXP-Exclusive Variants

PokémonXP attendees will have access to customization options that will not be available through the regular Pop! Yourself Pokémon program. Those exclusives include special variants of the Pokémon Trainer uniforms as well as exclusive Pop! Pikachu and Pop! Eevee buddies.

Every Pop! Yourself box created at the event will also include an exclusive PokémonXP sticker. Funko said a limited number of guests who create a custom Pop! at its booth will be able to take the finished collectible home the same day. Other attendees will still be able to create their figures with the event-exclusive options and have the completed Pop! shipped to their homes.

Pokémon Pop! Yourself Expands Beyond the Event

Collectors who are not attending PokémonXP will still be able to create Pokémon-themed Pop! Yourself figures. Funko says the mainline Pokémon customization options will launch August 28 on Funko.com and at Funko flagship stores.

Those versions will include official Pokémon features, but the PokémonXP-exclusive Trainer variants, Pikachu and Eevee buddies and event sticker will not be available outside the show.

The PokémonXP debut gives collectors two different versions of the new program to chase: the broader Pop! Yourself Pokémon release and the event-only customization options available in San Francisco.

PokémonXP takes place August 28 through August 30, with Funko’s mainline Pop! Yourself Pokémon options launching the same day the event begins.
