Limited-Edition Harry Potter Remus Lupin Funko POP! Sells Out Quickly at Target

Funko’s latest Limited Edition release hit Target on Wednesday morning and quickly sold out, as collectors rushed to grab a new Harry Potter Remus Lupin as Werewolf POP! limited to just 7,500 pieces.

The Target-exclusive Funko POP! Limited Edition Harry Potter: Remus Lupin As Werewolf Vinyl Figure #201 was released August 12 with a retail price of $19.99. The figure disappeared from availability shortly after the morning drop.

It is not clear whether Target will continue releasing additional quantities or if the current availability represents a complete sellout of the original 7,500-piece release.

Funko lists the release as part of its Limited Edition program and confirms that only 7,500 examples were made. The company had previously teased the August 12 release on its Limited Edition calendar simply as a Harry Potter Target exclusive before the Target listing revealed all the details.

The figure depicts Professor Remus Lupin as a werewolf, capturing the character during his transformation. According to Target, the vinyl figure measures approximately 4.2 inches tall and is both a Target exclusive and a Limited Edition ELITE release.

Funko has been rolling out numbered Limited Edition releases through both its own website and retail partners. The company tells collectors that these releases represent a single opportunity to purchase the limited quantity and that once they are gone, they are gone for good.

As of the latest check Wednesday morning, Target was showing the Remus Lupin as Werewolf POP! as out of stock for $19.99.
